HEY! I decided my first full work here should be my midnight writings. its a poem kinda? im not completely certain what it would be catorgized as. enjoy!

sometimes love is gentle and soft and quiet like a foggy morning

sometimes love is fast and burning and loud like a summers day

sometimes love is lonely and cold and silent like a rainy night

sometimes love is warm and perfect and sweet like a morning coffee

sometimes love is all of these things and none of them at once

sometimes love is like the changing of the seasons, growing with you

sometimes love isn't exactly what you need

maybe it's the wrong type of love

maybe it's the feeling of spending a day at the mall with your friends

maybe it's the feeling of a summer day at the pool with half the school

maybe it's the feeling of a childhood snow day with hot chocolate after

maybe it's a mother's hug

or a father's praise

or a sister's talks

or a brother's jokes

who knows

it's different for you

for me

maybe he doesn't see it the same way

maybe he's all about sex and not romance

but i'm all about romance

and my standards are high because of rom coms

the ones my mom showed me

ones where the guy did all sorts of crazy things

just for her
