When the days soft shadow
Carresses thy cheek,
Thy soft embrace
Is the place that I doth seek.

When the rain the sun
Most soon beguile,
My comfort cometh
From your sweet smile.

The moon shall rise
Its throne in the sky.
And I shall take my bath
In the twinkle of thine eye.

The nights last glimpse,
Tis sinking in the west.
Twilight is upon us,
The moment we love best.

perfect without a doubt. the few mistakes made are understandable due to the fact that the poet is so much consumed in the emotions of the poem. but truly true piece of masterful writing

I'm just going to get a few little edit-y things out of the way first. Caresses has only one "r" in the first stanza and it should be the "night's last glimpse," in the last stanza, because night is personified and owning the last glimpse, not plural nights.

You do a really good job creating an atmosphere, especially with the Elizabethan English words. It gives a sort of mystery and almost confusion (but in a good way!) because it isn't something you would expect from a modern poem. I also really love the duality of the last line "The moment we love best" because it could mean that you share the love of the moment, like you really love that time of day, or it could mean it is the moment of the day that inspires the love for each other the best. And I think both ways are really cool way to think about it. Overall, a really cool poem. :)

thank you so much for your help with my grammar. It takes a long time to reach perfection, and even then, you're not absolute perfect. Thanks again.

This is beautiful :) it gives off a sense of wonder, and I can really visualize the whole thing. It also give me this shakspeareane feeling as well, since it seems like something he would say himself or in one of his plays .

Shakespeare-my hero!!Thanks darling.

Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.
