I Had The Writers Slump

by babymagic18

It lasted so long and I was so worried I would never write again. Recently though, ideas have been flowing through my mind and I have the familiar itch to put pen to paper again. I didn't realize how badly I had missed it! I have the same struggles I always had though. Too many ideas fighting to take first place and no clear vision of exactly I want.

At the moment I have two ideas going but one of the them has actually started to take form on paper. They both have their levels of difficulty and the one that's taken over is a bit easier to hash out. I've no doubt I'll someday return to other.

My biggest struggles with writing are scenes, dialogue and character description. I've been writing for years, I would have thought I had the hang of these things by now, but nope!

I don't believe I'll be posting my work in the near future either. Having others views on a project can be helpful but I want to go at this one alone.

Happy Reading Everybody!

In agreement with @pkidchick, I am uncertain what to say other than I am glad you've overcome your Writer's slump. In all honesty, I think everyone can agree, whether they like it or not, tthat veryone goes through it. But it is over now, so congratulations to you! ;) I won't babble too much anymore since I don't wanna just basically repeat what has already been said, so I'll just say keep writing and happy review day! :)

Hey babymagic, I'm not quite sure how to review this since it isn't exactly a work and you could have gotten away with it as a blog or whatnot, but I'll do my part to get you out of the Green Room.

Who doesn't have writer's slump?! Or writer's block, as some say. Scenes and dialogue and descriptions are all a pain (hopefully those tags help) but it never hurts to keep working at it! I will say this: its hard to accomplish anything, especially writing, without any help or critiques. I hope you manage and all your works are a success. ;P

Goodness, this was more of an encouraging message than a review but I hope you found it helpful and as always, have a great day. :)
