Poetry, A skill and art
A gift to write, pour your heart.
Poetry, A song of the deep,
a lock to your soul but a breath you must keep.
Poetry, A release of your mind
Places you can go with the world left behind.
The world of poetry is dark but strong
Nothing you think could ever be wrong.

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Ditto with Cade. We see this kind of poetry so much that it needs its own category/forum thing. Be original with your work and post something that'll blow us away as you audience! ^_^
Best wishes.

The problem here is that the poem's message is awfully tired. I think as writers we've heard all the dreamy idealistic stuff before..."Poetry is when you pour out your emotions and la dee dah ponies and butterflies." No.
Tell us something we don't know. What does poetry represent personally to you? Try comparing it to something unexpected, like a rock or a toaster oven.
