Love Is A Curse

PreviousNext
Love is a curse.
To have it is a blessing.
The lover becomes a poison held dear.
Love is a danger that requires faith.
Faith, that the only person in their eyes is you.
Though carried on angels’ wings,
It rests like a boulder upon the conscious.
Be mindful where you fall,
For it is not guaranteed you will be picked up
Back to your feet, refreshed.

Foolish are the lovestruck with their heads in the sand,
Digging for shells to place on the counter at home.
I pity the foolish girls with their foolish hair
In their eyes, blowing in the wind,
Standing near the waves, beautiful and reckless,
But blind to the reality of a deeper connection
Than the loss of virginity.
Love is a tornado that stops for no one,
And wrecks hearts before leaving.

It's very nice. I think the title fits it so well, too. The spacing is nice, and the words are magnificent. It's very honest, as well. You have a true talent. Does this stuff just come to your head, or do you really have to sit there and think hard about it? Either way, it turns out great.

I agree with the person below, you need to proof-read a bit more. You have a few minor mistakes, nothing too severe, however.

Achu is completely right, as well. It really does capture the whole meaning of love. I envy your writing skills. Poetry is defiantly something you need to keep doing! I wish you luck with your future poems. If they're anything like this, you certainly don't need luck.

Lovely poem. I really got your sense of feeling. It was emotive and descriptive, perfect for a narrator.

I don't have much in the way of concrit other than maybe to proof-read again for punctuation, grammar, and how the lines fall. Sometimes I got hung up and had to re-read a line to understand what it meant. Example: "Than the loss of virginity." I had to go back and figure out how that had anything to do with anything. Might just be how my brain's working today, but maybe double check that stuff, eh?

Keep writing.

The above encrypted is a piercing look for the blurred vision of ones on the so called worldly erratic thing -LOVE. This conveys a complete lost jamboree by this.
"The lover becomes a poison held dear."
- has impinged a sharp shot for those who float in the sojourn of love
"Faith, that the only person in their eyes is you."
- mentions the true lively people who are not to be met with everyday, everytime.
"Be mindful where you fall,
For it is not guaranteed you will be picked up
Back to your feet, refreshed."
- its a writ that its a hard core for those who fell to swing back forth to a normal life forms.

of all, clearly viewed from submissive depth of oneself; decently structured and served .

"You, who have all the passion for life that I have not? You, who can love and hate with a violence impossible to me? Why you are as elemental as fire and wind and wild things..."
