Life. Its the most difficult experience any human will endure, our very existence is a constant struggle; We grow up, just to work until we die. Morbid huh? From birth, we're developing the basic motor functions of how to live. Eventually, We're put through primary school basically to be taught how to function socially with other human beings; according to society's standards. Finally our education on how to live; ends in High School where you learn a portion of your true self ;as well as how society actually works and just how much it truly sucks.
Right out of high school is when one is supposed to start living; At the age of eighteen the safety of constructed education is ripped from the emotional pubescent, and the challenge of the future is forced upon them all. Having lived for merely eighteen years the decision of one's impending future is supposed to be made and practically planned out on how to get there. Anyone else find that bit absurd?
Considering the fact that before graduation we were required to ask to use the restroom and were punished for being literally seconds late; makes the idea of drastic life changing decisions seem like a sick joke. As a personal victim of this life standard I can honestly say I have no idea what I'm doing. My lack of planning my further education has put myself, as well as many others in the same situation and panic of "What am I doing with my life?". Three solutions to this anxiety driven question come to mind for those who actually aspire to do something with this crazy thing called life.
1) find a dead end job, work your ass off, then die.
2) suck it up go to college, find a job that MIGHT deal with your degree, then die.
Or
3) Somehow invent the newest iPod and becoming the next Steve Jobs ensuring our financial stability for life! Then of course dying.
Sadly, The likelihood of us actually becoming billionaires is hysterically depressing, and though these solutions are being looked at with a skeptical eye, Many people are able to establish themselves without a college degree; But when college is what's pounded into the current generation's life check list, it's a bit degrading not to have a solid plan.
As for those who skepticize the lost souls with true ambitions I ask this. Why would one encounter lifetimes of debt if the plan isn't 100%? Understanding that switching majors is always an option, the possibility of extending time and furthering self debt just doesn't seem worth the damage. Though one opinion against another the idea of saving time and money just makes sense.
A wise old woman once told me, it's easier to die then it is to live. As I encounter the struggles of after high school, I'm slowly starting to understand the full meaning of that phrase. Trying to find the right path is the most difficult experience I've encountered in my eighteen years ,and getting there seems next to impossible.
From those who have already lived most of their lives the consensus seems to be "you'll find your way" or some sappy ideal that "the path", will find you. I've heard countless times to use my interests, or hobbies to find the right path. My question is how realistic would it be to win American Idol or become the next host to America's Funniest Home Videos? Though I definitely would love to pursue those careers it just doesn't seem the most dependable.
They say to do what you love, and the idea in itself sounds like a life well lived. Though finding that passion seems like a struggle worth working through. Even if it involves walking blindly on a path that seems to be leading nowhere, but it's been proven that all roads will eventually lead somewhere.

Hello there mate! I was here with a review but after reading the reviews you already have, I don't think I have much to say. And, if I do, it's just going to be a repetition. But, I think I have something else to say as well!
Everything's got it's own time to happen. And, death there, eventually it comes to everyone. Just a matter of time. Even if you live a fantastic life, full of adventures, you'll have to die. Likewise, if you live a dumb life, you'll still have to hug death. You've read the story of three brothers, (The deathly hallow) haven't you? If you haven't, I recommend you to read that. Death's not an option. It's a truth.

First of all, articles/essays, I'm in love them personally. Because, they're descriptive. So, it was an absolute pleasure to have this read and I really did love it. Your concept is brilliant. Yes, there are some points where I don't exactly agree with you but we all have our opinions, right?
I liked the starting you have. It's dramatic. No, don't get this wrong, it's a good compliment I'm giving. There are few nitpicks, like that THEN one. They're not anything that serious or something, so, if you just give it a careful read, you're going to find it yourself.

I think i know where are you coming from actually, or probably I don't. That shouldn't matter here.
In the first paragraph, I really don't think school teaches us the way we should live. They just provide you with some basic knowledge, textbooks that's all. Well, that is important but that's not all. The foundation we get for our very life I believe comes from our family and/or our society. It's up to you who you wanna be. It's up to you what you wanna adopt. It is all about you.
Now, the three options of yours, is dying really that easy?
Here, let me tell you something I've learned from my life.
You can find more than just ONE correct answer to any question. So, whatever I'm saying here, you can think they're nonsense. And, again, I might not agree with you as well. Doesn't mean, the other one's wrong or anything. It depends on situations. I won't ask you to follow your heart and all, that thing I find bit cheesy. It's like, life's not about finding yourself. You're the creator of your own luck. Be brave. Take risks. You can fail. You can be the dumbest one, of course. But, the tables turn, you know. If you work hard, want something really that much, be loyal I don't think there are any forces that can stop you from living your life in an awesome way. At the end of your life, probably you won't be winning Nobel, but, you'll find the little peace inside yourself. And, I believe that is what matters most.
So, I'm sorry if I sounded stupid and if you felt like I'm advising you or that. So, I wish you luck with everything and I leave you here my friend. Good luck.

An essay! Well, we don't really have many essay writers here so it feels good to have you writing a few.
One thing I like about this essay is the title. It just attracts the readers towards it and that is a key to getting more readers and fans, I suppose. Everyone, in their own way, struggles. Well, you based it on those teenage kids who struggle to find the right thing to do, with life, after they're pretty much done with high school.
The way you started this essay is a bit dodgy. Life is what a human gets and that's all he gets. Nothing more! I mean, strictly speaking, you do have a bright chance of eternal life but let's forget that for a moment.
Also, the school doesn't teach you how to live or spend your life. I am not sure why you said that but it is not true. They teach you all the textbook stuff which you don't need to know to live this life.
Adding the word "sucks" there made your essay just not professional. Stick to the right and more acceptable words.
Working after high school... it depends. I understand the society forced YOU to work at the age of eighteen but there are places in the world where kids don't work until they complete a proper degree. I belong to one of those societies and believe me, it sucks!
Your three possibilities are indeed just ONE. You think, at the end, you are just gonna die. Well, that is not true.
Do you think Steve Jobs, Einstein, Rumi and so many more are dead? Well, they are not! They live in our hearts forever.
Oh, and you need to capitalize the first letter of every one of the three possibilities you have with your life.
THAN is TOO different from the word THEN! Please don't make such mistakes in essays.
Also, dying is always easy because that's what cowards do. Hitler told the world the type of coward he was. Dying isn't an option, mate!
You're trying to find the right path? Follow your passion. What is your passion? Your passion is what keeps you alive. That one thing you can wake up for nights and skip your meals and forget the rest of the world.
You don't find you path, you struggle for it. The process of finding the right path is itself a path.
All roads lead somewhere but YOU decide where you wanna go! Don't let someone else tell you what to do; follow your passion.
I strongly recommend you to read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It will help you a lot.

I have to clap to that. The writing was well done, the topic was brought to life, and the conclusion nicely wrapped everything together. Why would one encounter lifetimes of debt if the plan isn't 100%?" - But for this line, which is the only thing with the entire essay that I have a problem with (it's my opinion, and opinions other than yours don't really mean shit) I have the need to ask why it's included. I ask this because nothing in life is ever going to be 100% guaranteed. Nothing. Death can take you whenever it wants.
I don't have anything against "it's easier to die then it is to live." but some people, if they could, might disagree with that. It all depends on what you're leaving behind when you do die, because like life, letting go can be a struggle.
