Fake Love (Dedications)

PreviousNext

Been here for thousandth time, can’t seem to recognise your face…
I don’t know where, how or when, but I feel like I know you…
I believed every word you said with a grain of salt,
The knife in my back hurts once more, do I know you?

A timid voice of warning creeps up my spine; I ignore the warning signs,
Curiosity is controlling my mind.
I must closer to smell your hair, to touch your heart to feel the warmth again
To stroke your leg and see you smile, to dance in your eyes around my desires,
But still…do I know you?

How can I know you? Your face has changed, you are crippled and wasting away,
But the painful tears that plagued me once start to burn again, and my stomach falls away from me, falling back into hurt.
I left you standing expecting embrace, and I’m scarred forever by the look on your face.

But answer me this: how can a story end happily if there is no love?
