charlie was a quiet boy
he stayed inside while the others played
they never really noticed
why charlie never came outside
he drew pictures of his dreams
on the borders of the tests in school
his mother never noticed
that charlie never cried
boys will be boys
as girls will be girls
at least its what we're told
as if we were lied to
open our eyes and notice the little things screaming in the corner

he took a car to the cavern
and he started the engine
he watched himself in the mirror
and never noticed the good inside
he looked at the stars
and at the space between
the connection to everything
and the ties that he severed

not to be offensive, but that might be the worst songwriting advice i have heard in a long time.
i never 'plan' my songs, they happen. i'm not a writer, i'm a gateway between the songs and you
hmmm good song but the chorus boys will be boys as girls will be girls confuses me.
work on that
my advice to good song writing is...
1. have a peice of paper and write what the song is goin to be about like the theme.
2. write a story line for the song.
3. turn it into lyrics and a chorus.
4. add a tune and some instruments.
