It happens

by ZaddieCaso

Just something I wrote on the spur of the moment.

It happens,
Without farce
Or reason.

You don't know,
Until your heart starts beating that little bit faster.
And your eyebrows knit together in a frown,
Because you've realized.

It's nothing
And everything;
The way he'll make you laugh or smile,
Even when he's not there.
You wait patiently and uncertainly on his next move.

You know it's wrong,
To laugh,
To smile back
But you do it anyway.
Because sometimes in life, we muse
That when you just let go,
You feel that little bit warmer inside.

Hey Izzy! Review time. =D

Not sure whether the second line you wanted "force" or not.
"Farce" is a word but I don't know how well it would apply there. :]

I love the second-to-last line of this. Normally people describe frowns with the mouth, but eyebrows do play a very important role in the task. :] And "knit together"? Very nice word choice.

Couldn't have described it better myself.

Here I was confused momentarily... :] "let go" I thought of as letting whoever you're talking about go, and not talking to them or something. Then I thought it could be "let go" like..."loosen up" or "lighten up". Which was much better. :]

That was a very nice read! It was cute, and yes, it did sort of seem like a spur-of-the-moment thing, but it was good nonetheless. Nothing wrong grammatically, as long as I can tell. I think some language could have been spruced up a bit, like for example "You know it's wrong to laugh, to smile back, but you do it anyway". Maybe you could add some more interesting vocabulary and make it something like "You understand laughing, smiling back is wrong, but you continue regardless". Okay, I know that sounds wicked lame, but oh well. I don't know how else to help! Other than that, I liked it very much.

So, who's it about?

:]
