In 10 Minute Session

PreviousNext

Touch before sight.

Attraction far too sudden. Far too brief.

Our eyes meet and the distance grows.

And so does my heart.

Breath and flow.

Erratic and slow.

Limbs turn but lips stay still.

Remain here.

And so will I.

Moments pass that will never be labeled.

Chocolate melts away into a sigh.

Feet, arms, body. I know nothing of it at this moment.

Hold me without touch.

Eyes point down from the sun as red seeps onto your cheeks.

And then into mine.

But the gates of spoken words are still far more lush.

The scent of industrial and the sight of steel blocks our view.

The city burns into my senses once more.

Faster than light I start to let go.

Turn.

Turn.

Hope gives up after I do.

Then those lips are far closer than I could ever imagine.

To touch.

Caught, let go, and caught again.

Speak, anything.

Or don't.

Hey there!

I am not a romance fan, at all, but I loved this. I thought you captured the spirit of "love (or in this case, attraction) at first sight, along with those little things, such as touching. I didn't find any spelling or grammar errors, so good for you on that. I did think your flow was interrupted with off and on, such as with "chocolate melts away into a sigh". I think this line is kind of unnecessary, and seems a bit out of place. I feel these lines sound a bit awkward

"Eyes point down from the sun as red seeps onto your cheeks.

And then into mine." I feel that the two lines are seperate, not really connected as they should be.

"The scent of industrial..." To me, this needs to be finished. The scent of industrial what? Industrial seems a bit vague. Overall, nice.
