In a little town north of nowhere
Where wind always blows cold
Everyone stands and stops and stares
And watches Kelly's soul be sold
She is trying to find direction
Find out how much to take
They all bend her backwards
And take bets on when she'll break
Chorus:
So she falls farther and farther
Drowning in the liquor
That was supposed to fix her
And when she is thrown on the waves
Of a lonesome ocean
She can't stay afloat bacuse
Shes weighed down by emotion
Ricky loved Kelly but she loved him more
Ricky didn't know what he was looking for
And the day he let her go
Was the day she came to know
What it feels like to be numb
In her second glass of rum
No one she loves ever stays
She drinks her tears away
I don't think that she believes
She will ever see the day
Chorus
Kelly tries to live
But the bottle is too strong
Parties and dance clubs
Are all she has to lean on
But the drink has become her lover
There will never be another
Until she hits the bottom
And pulls herself out again
Or until she writes the last note
That will bring it all to end
chorus
But no one can save her
She has to survive the dangers

Again, I'm going to cry.
I only have praise for the song, I loved it and I could see her moaning next to an empty bottle, sad and depressed. It was very real for me.
thank you for the review! i played this song with my band and it went over very well. Thank you again for the review
This was great. I'm a sucker for narrative songs, and third-person songs, so I really loved this. So, I can't find that much wrong with it and this review probably won't be very helpful. =/ One tiny, tiny thing:
It was a little weird that you went into first person there, since the whole song was in third-person. It was like, who is this I? But maybe that's just me.

Excellent.
