A picture is worth a thousand words,
A thousand hopes, a thousand dreams.
A picture is easily torn,
Hopes are easily dashed,
Dreams are easily shattered.
But you remember.
You remember what that picture looks like,
You remember what hope feels like,
You remember how to dream.
It happens over and over again;
It's a cycle--
Hope, die, repeat.
Hope, die, repeat.
You wish you could let it go,
That maybe you could stop hurting yourself,
But you can't really erase something like that,
You can only build it back up.

Hey! I'm Chris.

I really like this poem. I read it about five times and each time I liked it more. You stay on topic and I like the rhymthm. The only thing I would change would be the consistancy. The best poems are memorable for the pictures they leave in our head. Your first three lines are memorable lines. You start with a common truth and elaborate on that truth and its excellent. Just make sure the rest is as memorable. The poem sort of fizzles out by the end. You don't even have to change what your saying, maybe just how you say it. Play with the wording a little bit and see what you get. Other than that I enjoyed reading it. I want to read more of your poetry soon. PM me if you have an questions or comments. I'm always here to talk.
Much Love,
Chris
I really enjoyed myself reading this poem. There's not much to nitpick at, and most of that is just personal preference. So I'll leave you with this:
Good Work!
