Suicidal Dreams

by Vida

Life is like a path
you walk down to get home
Sometimes you walk with others
Sometimes you walk alone

Holding a head high
will show your very proud
even though you survive
its hard to find the right crowd

People think your snobby
and toss you aside
But if your truly determined
you won't stay on the line

People find it hard
and in the end give up
Suicide becomes their dream
and find themselves shut up

People wonder why
others do such a thing
maybe they feel unwanted
or theres to much of a good thing

If one person dies
another falls apart
they shatter like broken glass
and lose a piece of their heart

Some others come to the rescue
and mend the broken glass
until each piece is there
but some don't last

suicide spreads
and tears the family apart
they think if they follow
they'll find that missing piece of heart

Soon everyone is gone
they all paid the price
for just one person
who was full of agonising strife

Remember just one thing
don't follow those who die
it was their choice not yours
and also, its ok to cry

I like this best - so true!! But Twinkle's right the last line closes the poem up nicely. I know this is reeeeeealy rude of me to point it out since the poem probably took you ages and ages (would take me!), but YOUR = belonging to you, YOU'RE = you are. Really sorry about that.

Nice, not fabulous, but okay. I like the last stanza, it closed the poem up quite well.

Some others come to the rescue
and mend the broken glass
until each piece is there
but some don't last

The best stanza.
