This is one of the cutest poems I've had the pleasure of coming across on this site, and it absolutely melted me. I'm weak for pure puppy love poetry!!
In a world so full of lust, flings, and shallow kinds of 'love', this is like a glimmer of hope. Every line was so pure and genuine, it was like I could see the narrator smiling, and hear them reciting this with the most love-struck voice.
The first stanza in particular was SO clever I was almost upset for a second I didn't come up with it first lol (I'm kidding <3)
It's lyrical and cute in the way first love is, and the last line of the first stanza especially has that humour that makes you laugh, and I'm sure whoever received this poem laughed too <3
The imagery has that tinge of nostalgia and young love. Necklaces, braces, bangles. It's amazing how those lines can express feelings this clearly.
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stanzas are thankful, grateful. And I think that's beautiful. It has a hint of adoration to it that makes it sound so sincere. Like the narrator is completely fine with even the smallest of gestures as long as it's with their person. (My interpretation, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong <3)
The last stanza reinforced my thoughts that it doesn't matter the activity, it's the person that matters. And that's so adorably loving.
Oh and I caught that little comma in
And that is even MORE incredibly clever, and it made me pause and read again. The double meaning (If intentional) is something that can bring you to tears. It's so full of love. I'm assuming it was both "No matter what I do" as in, whatever the activity. And also, referring to the "I do" in marriage. (Again, please correct me if I'm wrong <3) I love this play on words so much.
My final opinion: it's lyrical, it's cute, it's pure, it's clever. And it's such a beautiful poem in and out. I will definitely come back to read again !!

Mkay, lemme break down my first opinion and like my thoughts on the poem!
My favourite part!:

I really like this part because it shows how literal poetry can be, like for example the last line, which I did have a little trouble reading, but thats the whole point of it, no?
That it makes you think again, read through it all over again! i like it a lot.
Or a sentence with no spaces
It signals just exactly how close the lyrical persona wants to be with their friend or lover, maybe even something completely different!
What else I like:
I also like the other examples a lot, like the braces and teeth, that they never should come apart, or it would be rather bad. Since when braces loosen it means there is damage!
I love that comparison a lot, I like to think that The lyrical persona would be also damaged if they can't spend time with said person!
Where I did a double take:
At that smooshed together sentence, I had to reread it around 5 times before I read it right, I love it!
Overall:
