Imaginary

I imagine as you move
That you do it with such grace

To defy in me
The strong conviction
That I’ve been misplaced.

I watch and you are lonely,
Held within a place you knew,

Where breath is kept in,
Ticks of toes, and beats
Gone without a trace.

As each shaky breath unleashed
No truth, but my wanting ruse.

Rattle upon me,
False ecstasy; seen,
Felt, but misconstrued.
