Rhymes don’t bind
They fly and choke
Spit and slit
Please move over, I’m falling off my seat

Love this. Especially how the ending doesn't rhyme, since it ties up the entire poem nicely.

Very interesting poem. It is certainly thought provoking. It is even kind of funny when you think about it. It is true how sometimes rhymes can fly and flow, or restrict what you can say that still makes sense. Yet we aren't limited by rhyming. Overall, very good! :smt003

Hi!

Your poem is quite interesting. I read it several times, because the last line confounded me. However, I think I understand it now.

It almost seems to me like you are contradicting yourself on purpose: by not rhyming, you're "falling off your seat." Therefore, as much as you'd like for the rhyme to not be necessary, it still keeps you from metaphorically "falling off your seat."

I really don't know if this is the correct interpretation; regardless, I enjoyed reading your poem. It was sharp, witty, and effective. Good job!
