bluemurder bluemurder
you'd never ever guess
that the color of the sky
is the same as that of murder
not you, nor you, not I
she never saw his many faces
as he shoved into her ear
words he'd rehearsed well
the last ones she'd ever hear
he said to her
bluemurder
you never knew you'd never know
if it weren't for me
who told you that her murder
was the color of the sea
bluemurder

Murder shuold be pink.
Woo, snotty post!
Tut tut! [-X **cough** Sorry, but yeah. You're entitled to your opinion, I just feel compelled to say that you were a bit sharp - unnecessarily so, if you ask me...not that anyone did
- and since you gave no reasons for your dislike (other than the general mood of the piece) I am going to suggest that superfreakazoid ignore your rudeness in favour of mine, busybody that I am
O:)

But back to the poem. I liked it. It was...odd. And I like odd things. It had a rhythm to it that was slightly off-beat and very catchy; I also liked the way you used the words blue murder, running them together (bluemurder). And of course I'm a sucker for italics. It was actually oddly chilling; the simplicity of the wording was offset by the complexity of the idea (yes, I make no sense). By which I mean that the meaning of the poem wasnt entirely clear on the first reading, but the wording was deceptively simple and straightforward. An interesting and entertaining piece. I shall enjoy reading your work, superfreakazoid!
This reminds me of something you might hear in a coffehouse with a bunch of hippies hanging on to old bongs and Leary books. While I can't judge the meaning of your poem, and can judge the execution. It's poor.
Woop! I liked it!
it but does not want to come off too strong.
*Zelithon LOVED
I really enjoyed this. It seemed like you had a fragmented flow, but I realized that it wasn't fragmented, but meant to be followed. You guided the reader through, not only the narrative aspects of the poem, but also through your diction. I loved it, and the simplicity in the child-like comparisons made it even more intense in its motif.
Kudooooos.
It made sense until the last stanza. I'd expected some clarification as to why murder is blue but I think this just has to do with insanity. *reads it again* WAIT! Did he drown her? Is that what it was? Anyway it's excellent, I loved it.
i don't know if it quite got it, but i really liked it.
