Forest Lament

I can't take credit for this. It belongs to Jivaru, or Stella. She recalls the forest home she left behing to "see the galaxy."

'Neath the whispering trees
And the light of each new day
There my heart forever keeps
My song when I am away.

Under clouds in skies of blue
Under leaves of silver-gray
There my heart sings with longing
And forever I will stay.

I loved this part. Whispering trees, I really liked how you gave human characteristics to the tree. Very good.

Hey Kyte,
I like this. You have anice flow and the rhyming is clear affective and natural.
I also like the imagery, it creates a wonderful scene.
My only complaint: It's so short!
(Not exactly a complaint and if you've said everything the lenght is okay, but more would be nice )
Keep it up

It was nice but are you sure this is a song? It's more of a poem to me.

You mean that a character in your book wrote this?
Okay, whatever. This was incredibly cool. I love the rhyming--it didn't seem forced--and the imagery was simple but pleasing.
Keep it up!

Wow! I like this a lot. What do you mean it isn't yours? Who is Stella?

This is a house of homes, a sacred place, by human passion made divinely sweet.
