The Middle of Nowhere

This in my dream:

I was out in the middle of nowhere, (hence the title of the topic) I was with my sister and we were not so much stranded as we were randomly placed on a dirt road out in the middle of a dry land, with wheat fields surrounding us for miles. The road appeared to lead nowhere. I look around taking everything in like a camera panning when my sister slides in the frame with something in her hand. She opens her hand to show me what she's holding, and reveals to me a lizard the size of her hand. The lizard jumps from her hand and flies off to the ground. I watch the lizard jump up and float down with wings made of leathery skin like all lizards have. The wings weren't attached by a stem like a dragons might be, but instead they were attached to the back of it's front two legs. It didn't flap it's leathery wings either, it just held them outspread so as to just float to the ground. The lizard continued to hop away until eventually disappearing in the wheat field to my left. At times I would catch it in spasmodic intervals appearing at times close to me and at other times incredibly far off in the distance. Then i turn my head to face my sister again and notice to my huge surprise a GIANT leopard standing behind my sister with it's back arched and it's hackles raised. He growls and starts chasing my sister, but somehow she gets away and manages to escape on a horse that randomly appears out of nowhere. Losing the chase, the leopard turns and starts running towards me. I book it in the opposite direction taking off down the dirt road, but am unfortunately quickly overtaken by the leopard because of course, it's a leopard, and a giant one at that. Before the leopard has a chance to pounce me the scene shifts to another scene in a courtyard. In this scene, The leopard and the lizard and a wild assortment of other animals come running towards me, but not in a vicious way. they run towards me as a dog runs towards its master when he gets home from being out. So in this scene i am tackled in love by the giant leopard and the flying lizard and many other animals. We wrestle around for a bit and have a bit of fun, then the dream ends.

The end.

Hey thanks for the tips. I wasn't really trying to write anything special with skill or anything. I'm a new writer so i'm just beginning to learn what i need to improve on. i did throw this together in a matter of minutes and i was simply writing out my dream as i saw it.

This was kind of like you wrote this in two minutes. There's no style here, just a bunch of words thrown up onto the screen. It's a dream and so what? If you're gonna make it pointless, then the words themselves have to be good. This gives the reader absolutely nothing. I'm not trying to be completely crushing in my criticism but I don't think you spent barely any time on this. Which is stupid. Anyway... Sorry. I have nothing against pointless / plotless pieces, but that means you have to work all the harder to make the reader interested.

Uh, there was also a change in tense...

The first two sentences are in the past tense and the third is in the present, which you maintain for the rest of the piece. W.e just thought I'd point it out.

Anyway, I feel like I don't know how you write since I'm not sure if this is writing.

Don't sit down and write because you're a writer; sit down and write because you have something to say. And if the sea of ideas isn't flowing, well, just tell me about your day.
