The Box of Time - filled with lies

PreviousNext

Leave time behind
Break off chains with    time
Am I too    silent?
Are my hands    invisible?
Perfect girl
Always so sensible

Time is, and   not
I am, aren't I?
Rush here and there
but what if time is    gone
just an illusion
I and rush, till time is    gone

Why is the sky    blue?
Am I being    philosophical?
Certainly not
Only sensible
And do I smile too much
to you
Me    who?

Smiling, senses
do not feel as you do
there isn't much to adore
in a heart that is blue

Oh Screaming silence
I shall say no more
for in a world where time is   gone
I could just go on and on
I shall wait for you no more

So time
be gone!
I shall seek your
                                absence

Thank you everyone for your comments! It's my first time posting something of mine, and to be honest I wasn't expecting this many comments! I'm from Norway so that's why I might have some misspellings, but I'm trying. Great tips from all of you and I will definetly keep working on it! Thank you! :-D

Let me just start off by saying that the title was amazing! It caught my attention right off the bat. First thing that I noticed was that you misspelled Certainly on the line "Sertainly not"
I do notice you repeat the word time a lot at the beginning. I'm gonna be up front about it some stanzas I just got confused with it.
I enjoy the lines:
"Leave time behind
Break off chains with time
Am I too silent?"
However I still got confused with the part about the invisible hands and perfect girl. I also feel distracted by the double space with certain words. I see how it could have an impact and make a certain point.

Hi Sophie. Siya here. So i guess i liked your poem it's sweet and short(not that sweet. huh?). I would like to point out somethings to you. Like you have double space before many words. Did you do that on purpose? If you did, then what was the reason? If not then try to avoid it next time. i liked this poem in general but I think you should have been more specific since the point of this poem was very unclear. I really like your title though. It was screaming for attention that is why i thought it was a good idea to check this poem out. I have noticed you have capitalized to many things that were not needed to be capitalized for example-
"Leave time behind
Break off chains with time
Am I too silent?"
here you have capitalized every line even though there was no need to.

great job. Keep it up. I hope this helped.

Wow! Well written! there are a few minor errors but other than that solid work! I like the question and answer phrases! Gives your poem an interesting structure. It should be *philosophical and *certainly with a c. But that's all other than that great stuff! "Screaming silence" that really made me think that is a great line! Especially the closing line "I shall seek your absence" the way you put the last word of the line not directly underneath it but to the right actually made me look for the line if you know what I mean? haha anyway excellently written! I try to review more often but I'm quite busy with school and in my free time I'm with my friends but i definitely can't wait to read more of your stuff!

Greetings!
Philip :)
