Epitaph of A Scribbler

by SkyeDreamer

Jennifer Weissman here lies at rest,
Much like an idle pen
Now emptied of all ink and ambition.
Without a Loving Hand
Carrying her, guiding her
She could not create
Any beautiful thing
But she was made for more
Than frivolous doodles and notes.
Sometimes faltering,
Slipping from the proper path,
But in the end
Making a riveting tale-
Bringing glory for her Author.
Not just any blue ballpoint,
She strove to be a fountain
Of blessings-
Through her, to all who see
What she left behind.
But this story does not end
When the Author’s Note is written;
The vessel
Has gone to meet her Scribe
And writes calligraphy
On the white, untouched eternity.

I agree with Lindsay in that this poem is original. Specifically, I thought the pen metaphor to be very interesting, unique, and quaint, and I liked it. And also wonder though, what is this last part? "Lovingly manufactured.... Capped _____" Lovingly manufactured is obvious, but don't understand whatever the latter is, or if its even part of the poem.

This was good... and quite original, I loved the beginning and the the end. But perhaps, a little more attention to rhyming and you might have yourself a masterpiece. Thumbs up though!
