“Halee!”
She looked up and, realizing who I was, immediately took off in the opposite direction. I half thought about not following her, but then I pulled myself together and went after her.
She was quick, but not quick enough to escape me. I flew over her and nosedived right in front of her, forcing her to stop.
“I didn’t know you were that desperate not to talk to me!”
She turned away and tried to leave but I headed her off.
“Leave me alone!” I grinned as she tried to dodge past me and I once again got in her way.
“Halee, we haven’t talked in so long. What happened?”
She stopped trying to get passed me. “You happened, that’s what happened!”
“Halee, you have to understand,” I blocked her way again as she tried to catch me off guard. “You have to understand,”
“No Fin, you have to understand something. I really liked you and you made no effort to like me back. Because of you, I messed up my relationship with Tarn and most of the others. I hate you Fin and I always will.”
After saying that, she turned, muttered something and flew away.
I watched her fly away from me for the last time.
“I hate myself too Halee. I hate myself too.” I felt rooted to the spot. Finally, I slowly started to float down through the trees my eyes still fixed on the dot that was Halee.
My boots touched the earth and I sat down where I landed.
“Why me?” I lay back and looked up at the sky. “Well it’s no use feeling sorry for yourself, that’s just pathetic.” I sighed. “Great, now you’re talking to yourself.”
I continued to stare up at the sky for a while before spying a dot in the sky which was circling above where I was sitting.
I decided after a while that they must be watching me and I sat up and kneeled. From this position, I could take-off quickly and have a better chance of catching them.
“Three, two, one…go!” I pushed off from the ground hard and shot straight up into the air.
Whatever it was that was spying on me, didn’t make any effort to evade me, so I slowed a little.
“Whist? What are you doing here?”
The bird came down to my level. “Your sister and Airan have just announced their partnering. Your family is looking for you.”
“Oh great! Another disgrace for me to bear.”
“That is exactly what we thought. The other birds and I have decided, it is better if you leave.”
“What? Leave? What is the point in that?”
Whist landed on my shoulder. “Would you like to disgrace your family again? If you leave, they can pretend that you never existed and leave all the disgrace and trouble you brought to this race behind them.”
“Just because I have disgraced them doesn’t mean they want me to leave!”
Whist sighed. “Listen to me Fin, you will never partner now anyway. There is no point in you being here. The birds have also decided that even if you stay, you will not be tutored by me any more and you will not be allowed to teach at the school. You decide which the better option is.”
I crossed my legs and began to slowly fall to earth. I sat down on the ground and thought about it. “Do I have to make the decision right now?”
“No. If you are going to leave then you must do so by morning, so that no one will bother you. And I suggest you walk, it will be easier for them to find you in the skies.”

OMG cliff hanger! Now I want to know what the person in question has done that had created this conflict between the characters.
Another question that ran through my head is what other conflicts will pop up.
I still think you could had wrote more descriptions so that we can picture the scene better.
This was clever and well written. It's nice that you focused on a conflict between characters and using that to move the storyline rather than relying on conflicts outside of their friendship/relationship.
I look forward to reading the next part.
Andy
P.S: By part, you mean chapters right?
Reading this for a second time, after reading the first parts, makes so much more sense now! Lol. Poor Fin. I wish Halee would make up with him but then, where would the conflict be? Lol. Anyway, I can't wait to see where Fin goes now.
Well...it was rather interesting. I yearn to read more.

However, I wish you would describe more. Maybe that's just me, but I like to "see" what I read. I can do that here, but only on uneducated guesses at what I think the scene would look like.
CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE! KEEP IT UP.
Yessss!!! Sorry, I just really like this story. Anyway...
I thought the relation between Halee and Fin was interesting, definatly want to know more. I didn't really understand how he disgraced his family but its probably something really obvious that I'm to inept to realize.
And if Fin does leave It seems like the begining of a really cool story.
Can't wait for the rest of it!

Umm, it explains what Fin did to her in part one...
Just thought I would let you know!

This seems interesting and I'm certainly curious. What is it the persona has done that's so bad is just one of the questions that's running through my head and making the reader ask questions is always a good thing. Your grammar and spelling are accurate and, while you could have had more description, it's well written.
