Sunglasses
Once upon a time, in the eighties, everyone wore sunglasses.
Be it summer or winter, everyone wore a pair of sunglasses.
Behind every car window there was a person wearing a pair of shades.
On T.V, people wore sunglasses.
In the movies everyone wore sunglasses.
At school the teachers and students all wore sunglasses.
At work the workers and managers all wore a pair of sunglasses.
Sunglasses were important. Sunglasses were cool.
You had many different pairs of sunglasses, and so did I.
Everyone did.
One day you saw a confident, pretty girl with no sunglasses.
You bought your favourite pair of glasses, with your initials painted on them in silver.
People walked everywhere with no real direction.
Planes soar through the air.
The people wearing sunglasses gathered at the airports.
There were shops for sunglasses everywhere.
When you went out to eat there would be a rag to clean your shades on the table.
When you got home, there would be a specially made rack for all your glasses.
Then the 90’s came. On the day of the new year everyone was wearing sunglasses.
And they were wearing sunglasses when they went to the disco.
But then one day people realized that they didn’t have to wear sunglasses.
So pretty much everyone said screw this and now we only use them to block the sun.

What a great piece of writing. The everyone shouldn't follow everyone else tone is excellent. I for one never follow fashion. It costs you lots of money and the next week it will be a different style.
I love the ending, it is a great way to finish the poem.
I can't find any faults in this, so I give you ten out of ten. Keep up the good work and have a nice day\night.

I'm not the best at doing reviews so here it goes.
I really enjoyed reading this piece, but due to the fact that I had no prior knowledge to the sunglasses trend, seeing it in my head was a little bizarre. That's my fault though, but reading it was very interesting.
I really like the message behind this piece. Everyone has this barrier (In this case the sunglasses) that they use as a disguise to hide the reality of themselves. Its letting go of that barrier that separates the "real" us from the rest of the world. You did a great job of conveying that message in a way that was compelling to your readers. At times I was a little confused, but I think that also plays into the fact that I am me, and I have trouble writing my opinions on other peoples work.
Overall it was a good read, and the flow was very nice. Great Job!

This is about people being afraid to show their true selves to others, and instead hide behind a fake persona. It is about the class clown who just wants to be funny to be noticed. It is about the cool kid who bullies others to look cool. It is about people who don't want to do certain things, but do them anyways because it's the newest thing and they want people to like them. This has been a problem forever, and it likely isn't going to change. But at least it can change. So I urge you to take off your sunglasses, see the world as it is, as you want to see it, and let the world see you not as it would like to see you, but as you truly are. Be yourself and be proud of who you are
