What is life? Is it messy or bold?
The journey from infant to old.
Ups and downs and hot and cold,
Characterizing us in an ideal mould.
Oh! How I wish for every moment to stay,
For the leaves to stand still and the trees to un-sway!
Every moment is precious, live it to the fullest.
Life can perish; hence try to enjoy the best.
Sadness and regret find no solace,
Discover yourself and go at your own pace.
Life can throw at you, obstacles or victories,
It’s for you to choose what you seize.
Options and opinions everywhere,
Grab what you can snare.
Be adventurous, mysterious,
Enterprising but not imperious.
Love, live and let live,
Taste, smell, enjoy and give!!!

There is alot of meaning to the question the meaning of life and to this work as well, you leave the reader in a more thoughtful existence trying to deciphering there own thoughts on the matter. Your words create the idea of wanting to make every minitue count and a pumped feeling, also your work is inspirational and rather brilliant. I'm enjoying every moment of this and i thank you for that.
There are a lot of meanings to life however everyone’s meanings are different from the last person’s meaning. I like how you have the ups and downs to life. I know a lot of people have had those and are continuing having them. The whole poem just works and I love it. Life is very precious but some people don’t seem to understand that. And they waste it by doing something they know they have no business doing. But that whole free-will thing is what has us going. Nice poem. Nothing I could see wrong with it.
Thank you so much for appreciating my work. Please do follow me. I am new here
This was a very beautiful poem! You had great word choice and the imagery your words created was very vivid. I liked how you asked questions to the reader. This helps us interact with the poem. This seemed playful and lighthearted, yet still held a lot of meaning that can relate to us all. You had a good meter and the poem flowed well. You didn't have any spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, or capitalization errors.
I did find that some of your rhymes didn't quite work. In the fourth stanza, "fullest" doesn't rhyme with "best". In the fifth stanza, "solace" doesn't rhyme with "pace".
I thought this was a great poem despite the few rhymes that didn't work as well as they could have. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this! *likes*
Thank you! And I agree with your advice, my rhyme scheme went 'awry'. Sorry, but there aren't too manu words that could rhyme. Also I used a little something called ppetic license and creative liberty to boost the message of the poem.
Thanx for reviewing.. Love u all!
Hi Silver! I'm Eveningstar and I'm here to review your poem.
For starters, I like your rhyme scheme. It's good that you've tried to maintain a constant rhythm throughout the poem. It's not always perfect, but its a pretty good effort and with practice it'll get even better over time.
The theme of the poem is very inspiring and uplifting, telling us to enjoy the good things of life to the fullest. It's a heart-warming read, but could be even better if you added a little more depth to it. As it is, the poem sounds a tiny bit didactic, as if it's telling the reader how to go about life. If the instructive tone was changed a bit to a more sympathetic one, this poem would be a jewel!
I like the neat, two paragraph stanzas and the presentation overall is very well done. The triple exclamation marks at the end could be reduced to one, though.
Try to add a couple more words to the second line, if you can. It is so short that it kind of breaks the rhythm so beautifully established throughout the poem.
Overall, you did a very good job. Your punctuations and formatting are all spot on (something I personally have a hard time doing). You are a very talented writer and I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
Keep writing!
