Epilogue

Adalyn's Point Of View

I stared at the elder woman's body as her final words resounded in my mind. "Adalyn, your time will come at the very end of this war. You will have a difficult decision to make but you will make the right one. It will be you, Adalyn, that defeats him once and for all. Trust your judgement to make the final decision. It will serve you well." What had she meant by that? My heart raced at the mere thought of making a decision that could possibly lead to our downfall in this war. As I thought about it, I recalled the last line of the prophecy Raven had given about us. It had simply said: "One of them will sacifice herself for the lives of her sisters." What if that was my final decision? What if I was supposed to be the one who gave her life for this cause? 'What if you fail?' A voice asked in the depths of my mind. 'I won't fail. I won't.' I vowed as Alex's wail shattered the eerie silence that had fallen over us...
