My Dearest One

My Dearest One
The breeze blows and I think of you
Although I don’t want to.
The sun shines and I see your face
Please go away.

In the dark you try to kiss me
So I push you away and say;
“I’m not the same as I was before
I don’t love you, ok!”

In the light you look at me with pain I’ve never seen
Please turn away.
You take one step close to me
And I take two steps away.

In the rain I can still tell that you’re crying
Stop, please!
And just before I turned away you turned to me to say,
“It’s ok, my dearest one, I love you anyway.”

There's really nothing compelling behind this poem, nothing that stands out for topical or literary acclaim. It never grabs like it should, it never takes you anywhere. It's been done, and done much much better.

By the way, I'm assuming the poem is about a guy.

The breeze blows and I think of you Why? What about the breeze reminds you of him?
Although I don’t want to. Why not?
The sun shines and I see your face ...

I don’t love you, [s]ok![/s] One forced rhyme is all it takes. The "ok" is something that just looks out of place here. If you can't rhyme without any stretches, don't rhyme at all.

In the light you look at me with pain I’ve never seen
Please turn away.
You take one step close to me *
And I take two steps away. These two lines are perhaps your only keepers

In the rain I can still tell that you’re crying
Stop, please! These "spoken lines" are really a poor choice, they don't feel anything like the rest of the poem, and it's just awkward.
And just before I turned away you turned to me to say,
“It’s ok, my dearest one, I love you anyway.”[/spoiler]

To be honest, there isn't enough flavor here to allow me to recommend a rewrite. Scrap it and write about something else.

There's a Brazilian things you could write about. You just gotta pick Juan.
