Take a look, And please don’t judge the cover of the book.
She saw the blurb, And thought it was superb.
Her friends told her a story, That now exists forever in her memory.
She thought she knew the truth, But the book was still in its youth.
She read references. And now her mind is lost between those differences.
She searched the book again, And found out the book was in a state of pain.
The table of contents which was enlisted, Made her instantly addicted.
Each chapter contained something special, And page after page she got more sentimental,
From the moment the end was near, She noticed this story wasn’t clear.
Might this story end peaceful, She knew she had to be the main in the sequel.

Wow.
I was carried away reading this piece. The structure was good. How each line fits in perfectly to the next. I can relate it to "Love" love at first sight. How we end up concluding, seeing through the end when the beginning has not even started. But then we wait, to see how it'll all go. What other people say begins to matter. You might want to cool down to go through this, you thought. But still you want to be in The moment when you still don't get it. You're not sure if the love will last till forever!
I'm not concluding that this is what your lovely poem is talking about. Each one to his own understanding!
Nice work. Keep it up
Wow. I didn't expect that someone would see my true inspiration for this poem lol. But yeah, you're conclusion is exactly how I feel and why I started to write this poem!
Thanks for the review and glad to hear you liked my poem!
hey! chitz here for a review.
firstly, the poem is a lit. I instantly got connected the moment I read it. Often in life, we judge the situation or the person without knowing the real story behind it. Your piece conveys that very message beautifully and it was successful. The girl in the poem was attracted towards the book at first but after being influenced by others, she changes the track. This happens often in real life without people knowing that. But at the end, as the girl gets back to the book and dives into its amazing and real depth, she feels as if she was a part of it. That was really magical.
The poetic style you had in hand was simple yet beautiful. It added charm to the piece and yes the ending was very appreciable. nice shot. all in all the poem an amazing piece and reveals the truth about life to the readers. I really loved it.
hope to read more of you.
stay awaken,keep writing.
Hii!
Thanks for the review! and that you liked my poem!
I'm going to write some reviews, so I can post more poems!
Thanks again!
As someone who isn't a big fan of poetry, I found this to be a pleasant surprise. To put it simply I enjoyed it. I especially liked that last line about how she had to be in a sequel. I have never seen a poem in that style before, although admittingly I haven't seen that many poems, but I find it interesting. In one word I would describe it as interesting.
That's very nice to hear!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this poem about a person who contemplates something that is being compared to a book. This is referred to as an extended metaphor or an image in which an entire poem is based. Here the book seems to be referring to life that the speaker seems to be evaluating. We are told that a superficial evaluation isn't enough but we must look deeper. This is compared to judging a book by its cover. Very often a person's life might appear to be glamorous from a distance but once we delve deeper, it turns out to be a total disaster. As the saying goes, not everything that shines is gold.
The book is unclear yet she wants to be the main character in the sequel. We are told that there is a story but aren't provided with details. So as readers we are unable to say whether the person wanting to be the MC is being foolish or wise. There are many generalities. More specifics would strengthen the poem. Describing exactly what she is seeing would be nice. Introducing an element of danger as well. Using more enjambment or having one line flow into the next to avoid stopping at line’s end would also improve it by enhancing the flow.
If indeed the poem's intention is to show that the opinions of others mislead us sometimes into rejecting what is valuable, then those others must play a more prominent part in the poem since as it stands there is no real tension between those others and the protagonist.
.
Hii!
Thanks for the advice and feedback!
I'm going to work on more specifics now to heaten up the tension, because that's exactly what I would like to reach with this poem.
