ACT 1 Scene 2
(Scene changes to a hospital where blood is stored)
Claudius: I’m so hungry…(Opens cooler and takes blood poach. Pulls blender out of hospital cabinet and makes smoothie. Pulls little umbrella out of Band-Aid jar to make it pretty.) I hope I’m not caught but I’m so hungry...
German accent voice: Hey! Vhat are you doing?
(Claudius makes a girlish squeak and hides his smoothie behind his back while the tall scary man enters stage.)
Claudius: I-I got lost sir!
German: Oh? Lost? Then vat is behind your back? (Crosses arms and towers over)
Claudius: Um…cherry slush…yeah…(Backs away)
German: Really? May I have a drink den? (Overshadows)
Claudius: (loud gulp and terrified) I lied…I made a blood smoothie.
German: Vhy in Gotts name vould you do dat? (Snatches smoothies and drinks)
Claudius: (panicking and snatches smoothie back then drinks) I’m sorry! I was hungry!
German: (snatches it back angrily, gulps, then offers it back.) So you resort to cannibalism!?
Claudius: (takes and sips) I did it cause I’m a vampire. (Sips and crying with guilt then gives it back)
German: I’m a vampire too! (Angrily sips and returns it.)
Claudius: That’s cool. (Cries and sips) We should be friends. (Offers the rest of smoothie)
German: Ja, dat ist gut. My name is Ludwig. (Drinks rest and angrily throws empty poach to the ground.)
Claudius: My name is Claudius! (Still terrified.)
(Both look at each other for a moment and now their calm)
Ludwig: So…you vant another smoothie?
Claudius: Yes please~
(Ludwig makes another blood smoothies)
Ludwig: So, vhere are you from? (Gives one to Claudius)
Claudius: (takes a sip) Romania. I’m kind of related to… (Cough) Dracula. (Cough)
Ludwig: Vat? Dracula? He ist still alive?
Claudius: Yeah, I’m his grandson. We live in a castle in Romania.
Ludwig: I live in a crummy apartment in East London. (Sulks) A castle vould be cool.
Claudius: I guess its pretty awesome but he never let me go outside. So I escaped.
Ludwig: Disobeying Draulca? You got balls.
Claudius: (nervous laugh) He’ll probably exorcise me when I get home…Oh by the way, are there any other vampires?
Ludwig: Oh course there are. Ve meet up once a month for blood and cakes.
Claudius: Do you think you could introduce me to them!? Grandpa and I always thought we were nearly extinct!
Ludwig: That’s because we pretty much are. There are only five of us. Vell, seven including you and Dracula.
Claudius: Only five? (Pout) That’s horrible…
Ludwig: Ja, life ist hard for us these days… (Looks at sad Claudius and wants to cheer him up) Hey Claude. Lets go to my place. I’ll introduce you to my vife, also a vampire.
Claudius: I would like to meet her~
(Ludwig snorts and they leave stage.)
Narrator: And that’s how Claudy met his first friend. Isn’t that sweet? But what he didn’t know is what happened after he left the castle…

That was great!! I look forward to reading the next act!! I use two exclamation points a lot!! Keep making plays!! They rock!!!!!!! Finally I have broken free of the double-exclamation points!!!!!!!!!
Hi!
Alright, I am loving this play so far. But this scene was a little... unrealistic. You know, apart from the whole vampire thing.
See, if Claudius thought vampires were extinct apart from himself and Dracula, why would he accept that Ludwig is a vampire so easily? And if Ludwig thought Dracula was dead and didn't know he had a grandson, why did he not think Claudius was lying or joking or something?
Also, who would immediately say "ah yes, this is a blood slushie. I am a vampire." There are so many possible lies, and the truth is a bit too strange for anyone to say. I would say something like "I mixed in a special medicine that I take, it's not safe for anyone else to drink it." But not blood slushie.
Apart from that, I loved it. Great job!
I must say that this one is not as good as scene 1. I mean it is still funny and great but scene one is better. I love how you made Ludwig parts not only sound german but you wrote them in the play as what the german way would look like. It was very funny. I also liked the blood smoothie and how he opened up the bandaid box and pulled out a umbrella. I enjoy these plays very much and I hope that you enjoy writing them. I will make sure I keep reading.
