Those Sexy Lemons....

The cuts he left were fresh. First he butters you up and then whoosh right down the center! Wanda warned me not to trust to trust him, but I didn’t listen. She’s been cut to pieces too many times, but me? I was fresh out of the bag, single, whole grain and clueless. He seemed sharp as a tack with a shine that would melt any girl’s margarine when we first met. I didn’t know about his history at that point. When Wanda saw us together down near the toaster she pulled me aside.

“Tammy! Don’t you have any clue who that is!”

“Yeah he’s Knisley Knife my new boyfriend… why do you know each other?”

“Know each other!? Why we dated for eight months!”

“Really?”

“He was the love of my life”

“Well what happened?”

“Tammy if there is one thing you should know about Knisley is that he spreads it on hard but you will get hurt. He always told me how much prettier I was then those ‘Belgian’ varieties but look where that got me! Tossed to breakfast plate served in quarters.”

“That’s terrible!”

“Watch yourself or that’s where you’ll be headed also.”

Of course I did not listen to her. Me and Knisley dated for a couple months and it was great but then things turned sour when a certain Miss Linda Lemon moved into the fridge. Apparently I just don’t have the same ‘zest’ as her. All those memories, did they mean nothing to him? He took me aside and told me ‘ Tammy our time together has been fun but it’s over, see ya around ‘ and so he left me there with my heart cut into nice easy bites.

Haha I've just had this strange craving for writing stories about food 0.o

Could you tell what foods Wanda and Tammy were? (Guess :D)

This is hilarious! It had the potential to be really cheesy (excuse the bad pun) but its actually really funny and well written, its easy to imagine the characters going about their everyday lives within the confines of the fridge! Its really quirky and cool, carry on with this sort of thing!

I love the food reference (food lover over here ;) ) anyway, I thought it was short and sweet and to the point, something nice about heartbreak for once. :)

Haha, I must say that this piece made me laugh. A love story involving food, yum! Lol. But I guess you can make this into a full-blown short story or even a novel if you like. I can see so much potential on this germ. I especially commend the resonating dialogue, pretty neat. And a well-chosen setting, where else but the friggin' ref? Lol. Nice one buddy!

That was totally cute! I loved it!
I'm not here to criticize it, I'm here to say that it was entertaining and that it was original! Not many people write something like this and it was a fresh drink of water :P

Good job!

I hate how the fantasy genre is considered to be all about vampires and werewolves now. I want to change how people look at fantasy genre fiction and it's great that someones helping me in my mission (Hint: it's someone who you know very closely :p.)

Nooo! The smilies are gone! :( You will just have to picture a fish rolling around in the ocean laughing and trying to avoid bumping into the other fish. There's a school of rainbow fish swimming by. :D

I'm not sure how I came up with this.... I was bored and hungry so I started imagining what foods must do when we're not eating them XD

Thanks for the kind words :D

Very different, very amusing, funny, very wholegrain. Sounds like toast! Or bagels... Please! Tell me what it is! The suspense is killing me!

It is strange about your fantasy of talking food. I must laugh. Though it is pretty strange that bread can last some months without having mold on it. With that said, your story was a large version of personification. Very good personification I must say.

Wow that was fantastic, very amusing. Wanda Waffle and Tammy Toast? Loved it!Your puns were great, "and so he left me there with my heart cut into nice easy bites.", "I just don’t have the same ‘zest’ as her", "a shine that would melt any girl’s margarine when we first met." To name a few. Again, very amusing and a cute story, not much in the way of critiques.

On that note, I'm gonna go grab something to eat ;)
