If everything in life is a conscious choice, then what we choose must reflect our character. All that I read, watch, listen to and do must have some bearing upon who I am. And that makes my character externally accessible to others who may then scrutinise it.
That is where judgement and labels come in: people feel the need to give a name or title to everything we do. But what if I choose to do nothing?
How then would that reflect upon my character?
Or is it just that it would be concealed?
And what is the difference between hiding one’s character and not possessing one? Surely I can achieve the state of ‘character-lessness’ or that or not ‘being’ a being.
We are all people. So by rights we must all be someone. Even if we don’t know who that is, it doesn’t matter, because we will exist anyway; that, and we are constantly changing.
It’s difficult to keep track of what you can never pin down.

Hmmm...interesting. The questions were prententious, for sure, and as ambiguous as the title states, but they didn't seem that random?
Despite the aforementioned pretentiousness, the questions were actually thought-provoking and interesting. I liked that.
Not much more to say here, except keep writing, and maybe incorporate these questions into the prologue or even the implied themes of a novel.
Hey there BloodInk! I've been seeing you around the site more and more lately and decided to come and check out some of your works.
The title grabbed me. Anything with a title that outrageous is going to grab my attention. I tried to figure out what it could mean before I began...
According to http://dictionary.reference.com/ :
Random:
1. lacking any definite plan or prearranged order; haphazard: a random selection
Pretentious
1. characterized by assumption of dignity or importance, especially when exaggerated or undeserved
Ambiguous
1. open to or having several possible meanings or interpretations; equivocal: an ambiguous answer.
So, this essay is about questions that could be interpreted to have several meanings, which are random, yet assuming they are important. Yes, I would say this is an eye-catching title...
This made many good points and was extremely philosophical. It made me think a lot about my life and the numerous choices I have made, and will continue to make for the rest of my life. I won't be able to stop my mind from thinking about this when I try to go to sleep tonight.
The last line really just made the essay. Combine that line with great writing skills, an excellent title, an interesting point of view, and thought-provoking information, it makes a perfect essay.
Thanks for writing this! It really made my day. Keep writing!
Happy World Cup and New Years!

Thank you so much for reading my work.

Also, I'm really glad that it made you think so much, it was what I'd hoped for.
Happy World Cup and New Years to you too
Hello again, BloodInk. I think I'm just stalking your works now. Don't be alarmed.
This is a great piece. Very philosophical. How did you start thinking about this?
The title, for starts, drew me right in. Though it is long, it made me ask questions about a title like that. When it mentioned questions, I started questioning what sort of questions would be asked. And then I had to read it.
And wow. This is really good. I immediately thought of the "Nature vs. Nurture" topic that teachers always force you to ponder. If I had been raised even the slightest bit differently, or made different decisions in my past, would I be a completely different person than I am today?
I adore the last line.
Wow. That is really well written and makes you think hard.
(My weird mind, after reading that, thought, "Like wind!" *facepalm*)
Overall, this is a great piece. I really enjoyed it, and now I am going to be asking these questions the rest of the day. Great job.
Keep writing and being amazing! Go Beasts!
