Evil attack, Good defend
but to defend doesn't one have to raise his sword against another?
Evil lie, Good tell truths
but to tell the truth and mean it one must lie first.
Evil hate, Good love
but one must hate someone else to know what the feeling of love is.
Evil punish, Good forgive
but to forgive one must punish first or then one never learns their right from their wrong.
Evil take, Good give
but if an Evil steals, one must steal it back to give it to one's friend.
Evil hurt, Good help
but to help ones friend one has to be against another, there for you are hurting another.
These are the prime reasons why Good and Evil remain the same in a way, their rules do not count.

I am not sure it is poetry but I actually really enjoyed reading it! It is one of those piece of writings that questions everything you have been taught from an early age. I do agree with the points you mention, and it is true that what seems to be good for one can be seen as evil by another. Like to the ogre, the human can be seen as evil and vice-versa.

Sorry if I rambled on, but keep writing
I'm not really sure why this is filed under 'poetry'. It's lacking pretty much everything that a piece of writing requires to be categorised as poetry. Actually, I'm not sure why this is in the literary section at all. A better place would be the Lounge or Randomosity forums, keep the Green Room clear for actual literary works.
I am not sure what to say to this other than it brought to mind all of the intellectual debates I have had with myself over the ethic differences of right and wrong, light and dark, good and evil. Its fascinating, when you think about it. i really did enjoy reading this.
I know I could never place all the philosophy that goes on in my head into a poem! It'd be all different sorts of complicated and nonsensical. I might write down your questions and think over them for awhile, just to get the full affect of what I'm saying and then play them over in my mind, using the handy-dandy internet to get Plato's opinion!
Keep writing!
Thanks! It took a while but in this book I'm reading it makes me understand that the rules people generally use are not always correct in the fact that the 1st one you have to fight against someone to protect unless you use just your shield but then you'll loose the battle straight on the plain defensive.
there are 4 questions here, good luck!
