...And you say I'm on crack?

What are you guys talking about? This made perfect sense, in every sense of the word.
Duh. You guys are lame. Must I break this down paragraph by paragraph?!
Is it really that hard to understand what this is talking about? Jerome is taking a pleasant little walk into the mouth of a "major reptillian beast". This is an extraordinary phrase. I love the way you worded it. It also states the current condition of the beast's tongue, which is extremely valuable piece of information.
Obviously this beast must be absolutely huge if there are a "few sinking Saturns". This only goes to show how well descripted this beast is.
This is an interesting way to bring out Jerome's personality. Very amazingly done. "Let's go back to the blathering fattiness of old" must refer to those times when royalty was slightly pudgy. Seriously. What's not to understand? Jerome said, "Oh, screw this monstrous beast. I want to go back in time to see the old fat men!"
Duh.
This makes our minds dive deeper into the realms of your world, Pork. "The reptillian king" is an extremely important character. How would've Jerome been able to enter the beast without the reptillian king?! The Askew Pond is a very aweosme pond, indeed. He really had to go into all of this detail just so we can see how friggen awesome it really is.
This is about the time that it gets good. As the Reptillian King and Jerome make their way to "the fattiness of old" they encounter this amazing rocket ship, filled with these amazing people from the stone age.
Obviously these people must be quite insane, being stuck in the rocket ship for thousands of years. So this is just jibberish, and has nothing to do with the storyline. How they even know about physicians is beyond me.
Jerome is presented here as a dictator. He wants these people to (written in a fabulous way) "expell themselves from this glorious dayside" and "go to the highway, where there is something waiting for them". But how, we must ask ourselves, did Jerome know about these marvolous people? Was he the one that sent the spaceship flying off in the first place?!
And because my computer is screwing everything up right now, I can't complete the critique, but I mean, how can you NOT understand what this masterpiece is about?!

That's the best you could do?

Grammar and First Impressions
So that thesaurus came in handy, but how'd you expect to handle the last part of this? Sick with scurvy from lack of lake fronts? Mkay...
Is this supposed to mean anything?
Sinking and slinking? 'Cause the reader's not gonna backtrack when reading this. The words sound so similar, you lose the reader for that precious split second.
Ice cream? What? Where are you going with this? Are we talking about reptiles or not?
By this time, I have absolutely no clue where you're going.
Overall
Um.
What was this? Was I supposed to be impressed by your selection of metaphors? Or maybe your use of the thesaurus? Do all your characters so sophisticated in their speech? They sound like you all over again. I can only handle enough of you, dude.
After reading this, the only thing that stuck to me was ice cream. I'm gonna get myself a bowl after this.
You didn't attract me at all when reading it. I got excited after you mentioned reptiles a few times, but there were a number of metaphor-imagery things that seemed to be there to confuse the life out of me.
Surrealism: Unreal
Well, none of it made sense to be realistic. So I guess you did something right.
Jabber, the One and Only!
Wow, that was incredibly random. I love it.
I mean, it didn't make sense, but that's just why it was just so...spectacular. I actually laughed while reading this. Whether or not that was your intention [to make the reader laugh], this was very well-written.
But now, I must voice a negative opinion:
That made me envision gleaming water, mud and then...sky? Uuuhh..okaaaay then.
But I think you might have been trying to do that, or at least not trying to make this an understandable piece.
But now my brain hurts.
Keep writing though!
Narf!

I... really rather liked this, but I can not explain why.
Maybe because the imagery is enthralling or because the writing style is so amazing or because it basically sucked me in, spat me out, and left me dazed and not quite sure what happened. But then I read it again anyways.
I especially liked "Everyone laughed with purple love and blended with the green; they complimented each other like infrared and night vision." and "The name was given to it scarlet years ago, and it had accepted the honour with grace and courage, living up to its name with a giant yawn and a jumping jack."
Pork, your imagination is bigger than my whole body! daaaang! It was very confusing.....read more than once *at least more than a million for me^^* But, yeah you can tell that you really tried with that story! Great job Pork! *I will be the leader in the wave for Pork!*
Cat ^^
You weren't being stupid.
And thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it.
Prokaryote
Well I guess the reason I was looking for deeper meaning is because it was so well written. I just figured that if it was that good on the surface there must be something deeper down...
Anyway, I'm glad it's all resolved now, and I hope you didn't take any offense from my stupidity.

wow.i had to read every paragraph twice.or maybe thats just me. though strangely i took a liking to this
yeah, don't know why. language is very, very good and this shows that you have a gift for words.
This was... really weird. I don't know how much I liked it... but at least you have considerable talent for imagery.
Yup. Not much to say about this.
Nothing to say, really. It's one of those pieces that you read, and your brain just thinks, "HUH?" so you have to go back and read it again.
Those are fun.
Great job, as always.
Peace, love, chocolate,
Muffin
I think the problem is that you're trying to make sense of something that isn't supposed to make sense. ^_^
Sure, I guess you could read this and take it as one big metaphor -- but any meaning you find there wasn't intended.
This was purely an exercise in surrealism.
Prokaryote
Well... maybe not metaphors, but here are the spots that confused me the most:
How can someone take a stroll through the soul of a beast, reptilian or not? And I don't understand what you're saying about the "hand's green"...
Ice cream has brain tissue?
Huh?
This whole paragraph is confusing to me.
None of the dialogue with Jerome and the leader made sense to me either...
He's eating now? I got completely lost.
Huh? Maybe it's the arcane language that made the dialogue so confusing...
.
Isn't this a metaphor?
Huh? was it all a dream? I really don't understand.
I hope that helped.
I'm sorry that I don't understand this piece, I really tried. can you try to explain it to me?
~A~
What metaphors are you talking about? :/ This isn't really a metaphoric story. (Unless you make it one.)
Prokaryote
Umm... okay. I was really confused with this. It may just be me, but the metaphors seemed to take over so that I couldn't read what was actually going on. Again, it may be me, but this really made no sense at all to me, frankly.
Because I'm so confused, I can't point out what it wrong with it... because I don't know what is intentional and what isn't. I'm sorry, this wasn't really of any help, was it?
Are you actually six years old? Because if you are, like it says under your avatar, then this is a really amazing and prodigal piece of work, but if not...
I'm sorry, I'm not making any sense am I? Feel free to delete this post if you like
PM me if you really don't understand what I'm saying and want me to clarify
