Honestly? The entire idea of photography is such a beautiful thing.
Each person sees a unique world- no two people see things the same way.
But when one sees a photo shot by another? They get a little glimpse into the photographer's universe. A sneak peek into a whole new world. The veil between spheres lifted, if only just a little.
The eyes are the windows to my soul, but the window to my eyes? That is my camera.
I wish everyone could see the world through a photographer's eyes. Everything looks so much more beautiful. The very sunlight that falls every day, turns into special little moments- never the same, and each just as perfect as the other.
You learn to find beauty in the littlest things- a leaf fallen just so, moss growing on a rock, the striking colours of a little flower, the astounding patterns present everywhere around. The vastness of the seas juxtaposed with the tiniest of shells, dense forests and little insects, the moon-ever the same yet always different, the light falling on that particular spot at that particular angle, the beauty of architecture, the miracle of life, and the mystery of death.
You learn to look at everything with wonder- the smallest moments bring so much joy.
You learn to find the beauty in flaws; the charm in imperfections.
You may take a hundred pictures of the exact same scene, yet no two shots are the same.
You begin to see things differently. What simply used to be light is now the most powerful tool in your arsenal- you see it in angles, shadows, white balance, and exposure. You see contrasts and hues, textures and shades, symmetry, leading lines and grids.
Time ceases to be a continuum- it is measured in the gap between each shot, in shutter speed, in fps, and the agonisingly long seconds a camera takes to process a photo. In the long hours of waiting for the right frame, and the precious few moments for which the frame lasts.
It's truly a beautiful thing- to be able to see, really SEE things most would overlook, and think, "That's such a perfect frame!".
To stop time, freeze a moment, and immortalise it in your camera.
To revel in your noble work as God's own scribe.
To stand witness to the Cosmic Dance, and with every photo, feel yourself melting into its Divine bliss.
A/N: It's been a while since I've written anything, and I don't know exactly what to classify this as, but hope y'all like it! It's just my train of thought when I was talking to someone :)

Hello, fellow photography lover! Personally, photography is not my main hobby but I find satisfaction when I do snap a good photo.
"The eyes are the windows to my soul, but the window to my eyes? That is my camera."
That is really true! You get to see the perspective of one person through the photos that they took. What one may see, the other may not and vice versa. So it is always fun to see the pictures of others.

Yesssss I can relate with this. As a photographer, or perhaps an artist in general, you find the beauty in the small things. Whether that's a small moment by the seaside or even just looking at a tree, you get to see beauty in these things. Something that others may not see.

One of my favorite things is how a camera captures a single moment in time and that moment can (almost) never be reenacted again. Just like any work of art, it is unique and personal.
Overall, great insights! Thanks for sharing these.
Thank youu for the review! Love to see the interpretations of another artist heh
I feel with this Avatar only good things can come =D And maybe I can finally use that festive template I stole from Leya?
In any case, Happy The 12 Days of Reviewing 2025 😊
❄️ Winter Whispers ❄️
So this is a beautiful little essay on photography and what it can mean for the photographer and the eventual viewers of the photos! :3
🎅 Warm Sugar Cookie 🎅
I like how you, from the first sentence onward, really show how much you love photography and that it is an artform to be revered and adored :3
Especially this “glimpse into the world how the photographer sees it”!
Oh and this is so good:
Somehow this reminds me of Quillfeather’s recent wallpost. Cinematic moments and all?
🌟 Chilling Critique 🌟
I feel like this sentence “The vastness of the seas“ here is too long. I get that it’s the excitement about all the motives coming through but it’s still hard to read ^^
This is such a beautiful sentence, but you don’t need the period here ^^:
🎆 The Grand Finale 🎆
Oh to be honest this kinda reminded me a little of when I tried my hand at drawing and suddenly I saw the world in textures and shapes for a little while 😊
After the depressing poems I read today, this really brought a smile to my face! Thank you!
Thank youu for the review!!
