I'm not in love with you.
Not with the way you lean back in your chair like your mind isn't clogged with worry,
or how you fall asleep right then and there because your troubles don't keep you awake.
How being carefree comes so painfully easy for you and seems like a distant dream for me.
I'm not in love with that.
I'm not in love with you.
I'm not in love with the way you look at the world as if you've never seen something so beautiful.
The way life fills your eyes with vibrant color and fire,
and how they still shine with curiosity and excitement for a new day.
Because to me that feat seems impossible.
A hurt and broken human like myself does not all in love
because to fall, you need to know you have something safe to land on.
I didn't realize that was a requirement.
Now, my body is bruised and battered,
my heart used and tattered.
And I'm now strapped into my romance free reality,.
I'm not in love with you.
I'm most definitely not in love with the way you smile like it's second nature to you,
or how your laugh sounds rich and unhollow.
Because you are my definition of hope.
I'm not in love with you.
I'm not in love with you.
I'm not fucking in love with you.
I'm not in love with you because everywhere I turn
being in love is described as being the happiest feeling in the world
and this is nothing but torture.

I love this poem.
Emphasis on the word, love.
I couldn't help but notice every line i read, I related to it. This poem is filled with so much feelings and passion. Angry passion. Hurt passion. "I'm not in love with you. I'm not f****** in love with you" seemed to be my favorite part of it all.
I know when I write and having people tell me how much they relate to my poems, it makes me smile. I hope my review does the same to you.
I love this poem. I fucking love this poem!
Keep writing!
-M.
I really enjoyed reading this poem, maybe because of the thought of someone actually loving me (I cri everytiem) or just your use of poetic devices.
Certainly the most prominent device used is the repetition of the poem's title "I'm not in love with you." or similar which really drives the emphasis on how much you envy the potential character as you've started in the description of the poem.
I also really like how you make sure to give plenty of detail on what makes you jealous and why it does and you've made sure to leave out any of the things you do like so you're driving it home that you don't love them just because of the fact that you envy them. You wish you could become carefree given a moment's notice, you wish you hadn't any troubles keeping you up at night and you know that your partner or whoever this poem happens to be written to or about doesn't suffer from the same problems giving you a feeling of injustice and creating more anxiety or just generally depression over a period of time.
I wish I could write more on this poem but I would rather not waffle, Sorry for the short-ish review :/
