Before, we sung songs
Of war heroes,
Their courageous adventures.
But now, where have our heroes gone?
Who do we look up to?
In these troubled times of conflict between lands,
Who is here for us, to lend us a hand?
Only one man can respond to our needs.
His mane flies and flutters through the wind, untamed.
His wealth, enough to end hunger
For all of those who suffer in pain,
Is instead used for building grandiose skyscrapers
So everyone knows his name.
A man, so valiant, so capable,
That he will give jobs to all, simply by "just doing" so,
And will make the Mexicans build a wall,
To separate him from Mexico.
Donald Trump,
A man loved by his people,
And who his enemies dread.
What a great man he would be,
If he did half the things he said.

Thank you, thank you. As you all know I am a great man who deserves your respect! I will build my wall and keep those damn Mexicans out! I will stop drugs from flowing into our country and I will decrease our national debt! Thanks for reading!
I really, really love this poem. It's very hilarious and I died laughing because of this. You perfectly described Donald Trump's true nature like he only wants to use a lot of money to build skyscrapers instead of ending hunger. I even rapped this song in my head because imagine if it was a rap song, it would be amazing. Keep up the amazing work, I wish I could give this poem more than one star.
Hey !
First of all just want to point out, this is absolutely hilarious !
You had me laughing the whole way long !
This poem is obviously really well thought, it make the reader really reflect on things after he reads it.
You read it and think to yourself "Hunh, we live in a really messed up world, don't we"
and that's a great thing, i think it's very important to challenge your reader with everyday things that affect our lives. And it's also great that you wrote this on the "funny" side of things, I think that way, you can get through to more people, younger readers perhaps, who don't want to read a long, difficult block of words about politics.
This is funny, easily understandable, and a great way to think things through.
Love it !
Thanks a lot!
hello Hannah here. just wanted to add my input. this is a great poem and a fine piece of work. it really makes you think. I also like that this poem is more on the serious side of things. I agree with what you said when you wrote "what a great man he would be, if he did half the things he said" because that's the problem with president's they say that they're going to do loads of things for their country but huh they never do. But overall I thinking this is a great piece of work.
Thank you!
Hey, Odd! Trelose here - Just wanted to throw my two cents in.
I LOVE this poem - it's accurate and rather witty. It has a decent flow and made me smile and chuckle a bit. Good job!
Thank you!
Hello! InfiniteRectangles here! I just wanted to say that I absolutely love this! It's hilarious, and it's spot on as well. I died laughing when you said "His mane flies and flutters through the wind, untamed." That is just so brilliant! I also really love how you mention the different things he said he would do, and then at the end, you say that he would be a great man if he did half of those things. Well done! This was a great satire piece and extremely funny, and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work! Keep writing and have a wonderful day/night! ^-^
Thanks a lot!
Hello Odd! Hermione here for a quick review. I thought this poem was right on point, and you made me laugh with the line that said "his mane flies and flutters through the wind". Also, the part where you talked about how he says he's going to give people jobs by "just doing so" cracked me up.
This was really good, but I do have a bit of constructive criticism for you.
You don't really need the word 'but' in the third line. Also, that line sounds kind of clunky. Grandiose is a great adjective, but in my opinion you should get rid of it to make the line flow better. However, that's completely up to you. You made an excellent point in this part about how people who are filthy rich (not just Donald Trump) could make a big difference in the world if it weren't for their selfishness. Many rich people do use their money for charity, but if everyone were to pull together, we could end world hunger.
Anyways, good job on this. Keep writing!
Thank you Hermione, this helped!
