Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
I printed it out, Myth, so I'll get you a crit written up over the weekend! ^_^ I figure you deserve a nice hefty one, in return for the fine job you did with the Chair.
Thanks for reading, Sureal and your input on the gender.
I've changed that sentence, I don't know why I wrote it. I must have been half asleep when it was typed.
I edited it so that the Eclectic is female.
Any other comments are welcome.
Nice read

There's one bit that confuses me slightly:
If I had put it in other words it would have been quite difficult not to sound dull, for I am not in the least bit boring.
That doesn't sound right. If the character had put it in other words, it would have sounded boring because the narrator isn't boring?
But this was well writen and flowed nicely. On the gender of the Eclectic, I don't know. For the most part, I imagined s/he as a male, although this may be because I am, myself, male.
I'm intrigued on where this is going. I'll be sure to read up on any later instalments
