Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
i like the use of varying sentance lengths. you used alot of "advanced" words something i dont see in works very often. you seem to know what you"re doing and have a very vivid imagination and make it easy for the reader to connect and see what you saw while writing this peice. i didnt see many mistakes, if i saw any at all, but dont take my word for it, im not one who notices that kind of thing alot. but all in all, this is a good peice of writing.
Monsieur Penguin! Bon jour! I never knew There's a male penguin on the loose here at YWS! Well, anyways, it's time for me to give a review, so here am I! Let me give you a chop-up review to be clearer!
First, I really love the sense of the piece. For your mother. Quite lovely. It's made for someone. That for me is a very rewarding read because I know that it has something good to tell. And your piece does have something good to tell, I'm sure. But after reading the piece a few times--yup, I read it more than once--I found out that I was a bit confused on most of it.
The first line was the start of it all. A 'because' is used to explain something that needs an explanation. From what I've read, there wasn't something that needs some explanation. So either extend the piece, or omit because, to make the piece clearer.
WARNING: I'm not the best writer, ever, but I really have to say something a bit too negative to the piece. Forgive me. I really, really am confused on this very part of the piece. Really. I don't exactly know what to comment here because I didn't get much of it. Let me tell you, it was written BEAUTIFULLY. Very fluid in fact. But a very good line doesn't only create fluidity, it also needs to make a sense people will easily understand. It's beautiful, believe me, but this part of the poem needs some rewrite. Do a favor to the world of poetry and rewrite some parts of the piece to make it clearer. With it much, much clearer, I'm sure it'll be THE BEST!
That's all I can say for now. If you need more help, don't be 'fraid to call me up
Your pal,
Al
Edgar Alen Poe if such a good writer.
Although this poem is not yours, I want to review something, so I'll review it for Edgar.
So, in the beginning, you are talking about your mother, right?
Where did your wife come from then?
Unless you were talking about your wife all along, I have no idea. It says mother, but if it's about your mother, why mention your wife at all?
The rest of the poem was excellent ,though.
I'll have to read more of your poems, Edgar.
Oh wait, I think I know about why you brought your wife in. Sheesh, it took me that long to realize?
To tell the truth, this a rather lovely poem. It has all the qualities of a great poem too. But, to be honest, it took me quite a while to rather understand it fully, i don't know why, but it did.
Anyway, though this poem is great and all, it's not yours. It would have been rather nice if you had actually took some time to create one you could call your own. Try it...
I'm confused to why you are posting this, it is a poem by Edgar Allen Poe and not your own creative works. This is strictly for people wanting reviews on their own original works, in hopes of improving their poetry or story.
