Darkness overtakes my weary soul
upon a pedastool of gold
I stumble upon the hardened ground
I could fall on my face and not make a sound
A castaway, that's me, because I am alone
I choose to be free, I don't have a home
The land beneath my feet is all that I own
if I let myself be found then I'm letting myself be known
Known to the rest of this sleepless world
Bound by the majesty of its hellish tone
Restless and disasterous, Everything seems so wrong
As I come across an old broken gravestone
I find my body laying cold on the ground
My eyes are still closed and my hands are still bound
Chains on my ankles and a rope around my neck
those devils they hung me for a damn accident

Interesting... The ending was sort of a surprise to me. It seemed like it was going to be the more cliche 'I am dead' kind of poem, but it wasn't. I liked how it was ended. The rhythm was a bit broken throughout and the narrator's point seems to change, but the last stanza was the one that sort of redeemed itself.
