Can't you see?
I'm just a mess,
One good for nothing mess.
I spend my days drowning in sadness,
Running away from it with my madness.
Who could of known,
A girl like me,
Could be such a tragedy.
I never thought,
I'd get to the stage of admitting the truth.
But here I am, once again.
Saying how sad I am.
It's just not fair!
I hate this feeling.
I can't stop all these dealings.
Sometimes my heart wishes to come out,
But something is stopping it,
I don't know what or how.
I want to be somebody,
Somebody I'm not.
I wish to fly to places I cannot,
It's just wishful thinking.
What a depressing thought.
That a girl like me,
Could be such a tragedy.

I like it, it really conveys the feeling. However, I'd like some concrete images, or especially similes/metaphors.
i really liked it, it seemed so purposeful...i felt connection because it is true and real not just some poem from the back of someones head.
Everything I write is for a purpose and if you must know the reason;
It is none of those things.
It is actually about running away from myself,
And pretending to be something I am not.
But as all poetry, it is open for interpretation.
xx
Was it written on a whim? Or for a purpose? Say, broken heart? Or back stabbing friends? Or is it open for interpretation? Sorry if its personal. You are in no way obligated to answer me.
I like it, its well written and straight to the point.
