*I edited some of the parts in the prologue. So I hope you enjoy!
When I was a little girl, my mom used to tell me a story about the Twelve Celestial Zodiacs and their young Celestial Stars. The Zodiacs are like Gods. The protectors of all the galaxies, stars, and planets in the universe. They have been existed for a thousands of years since ancient Greek mythology. But the Gods in Heaven, made them into stars and be Gods on their own world, which is the Universe. Their homeland is the Milky Way.
Inside the Milky Way, there are comets, meteorites, moons, stars, and most importantly planets. In some planets, there are eight who orbits around the sun, they called the Solar System. There are eight planets in the Solar System, but among them has life. People called it Earth. And that is where the Celestial Stars live.
The Celestial Stars are ordinary human beings. But what my mom told me, they have celestial spirit inside their body. Before the Celestial Stars were created, the Celestial Zodiacs made a wish to their Celestial King, Nova, to create warriors on their own. To be the heroes of their own kind in Earth, to be protectors of all the stars in the universe. The Celestial King accepted their wish, but in condition, they have to take responsibility on their young celestials. They have to train them, teach them of what is like to be a warrior. The Celestial Zodiacs agreed to his condition. A month later, the Celestial Zodiacs started to choose their Celestial Stars. They gave them celestial spirit to the humans and call themselves as celestial beings. But the Zodiac will do it when the child is still a month old. To let the celestial spirit, given by the Zodiac, enters rightly to the human body and inserts the power through the veins. And the celestial power will be asleep.
Six years later, a lot of celestial beings came to the galaxy at the age of 16 and above. The Zodiacs trained their stars to become a warrior they ever have. They train on how to use their powers, control the stars, and everything. Every moment, the Zodiacs are like parents to them. The King felt he gave them children on their own. He never seen them being so happy. Somehow, he through their minds that they wish they can keep them. Though its not possible since they live in Earth.
Darkness came to invade the Milky Way. Everyone in the Milky Way didn't expect a dangerous threat was coming. A dark gaseous clouds poisoned the homeland, and a dark hole was formed to suck everything in. It was ready to destroy everything. The Celestial King was standing, watching his home being swallowed by a hole. He was terrified to watch that his home was being destroyed. The Celestial Zodiacs have done whatever it takes to stop it. The Celestial Stars came to join the battle, unexpected. And the Zodiacs didn't want the Stars to get involve because it was too dangerous. They didn't know what they were doing. One by one, the Celestial Stars directly charged in. They every of their power to stop it. But then, they were too careless. They thought of going to the hole and kill it inside, but it squeezed them making them hard to breath. And every of the Celestial Stars are dead.
The Zodiacs were devastated. They were overwhelmed of what they saw. The Celestial King didn't want the Zodiacs to agonize the death of the Celestial Stars while they were in the battle, he ordered them to destroy the dark hole and protect their home. One by one, they kept attacking but their powers kept sucking in. Since there was no other choice, the Celestial King stepped in a meter far from the dark hole. He used his power called "big bang" to destroy it. As his power got went to the mouth of the dark hole, a glaring light shone upon the middle and out of the mouth area. Then all the sudden, it exploded in just a few seconds. And the Celestial World is safe.
The painful tragic, it lost mostly of the Celestial Stars. None of them survive. It was painful to lose a lot of their warriors. Painful to lose their children. The Celestial King felt bad for the Celestial Zodiacs. He knew that they were trying their best to protect them. All of them were heartbroken. One of the Zodiacs, Taurus, stood up, approached the Celestial King and made his final wish.
He wished for another warrior to be born.
All of the Zodiacs thought that Taurus was insane. After losing so many, he wished for another. Taurus knew that and couldn't forget that incident. He knew that he was selfish about it, but he explained that he needed someone who is pure to him. Someone who is deserving to be his warrior and considers the child a 'Taurean". It didn't matter to him how long he could wait, until there can be someone who is worthy to his name. But the Celestial King made a clear that the Zodiacs should take responsible for handling their Stars. Their deaths was a reminder for all Zodiacs. Desperately, Taurus didn't give up, he begged to the king. All of the other Zodiacs thought about, and they stood beside him. Begging to the king to have the same thing. And so the King reconsidered their wish.
The Celestial King accepted their final wish. But he made another condition. Other than many, he decided that each Zodiac should have one Star. When he made his decision, he created a star and divided them into twelve. He called it, Anima Sidus. Anima Sidus is a Latin for 'life star'. Each star absorbed the spiritual power from the Zodiacs, and the celestial signs was seen. In a way, Anima Sidus will be the one to choose a Celestial Star. When the Anima Sidus has found its Celestial Star, the celestial spirit that they got from the Celestial Zodiac will be passed down to the Earth, and found its host. The Zodiacs are forbidden to communicate with their Stars.
The Zodiacs were very lucky and thankful to their King. But the Celestial King gave them one last reminder. When one of the Anima Sidus is losing its light and directly breaks into pieces, it means that the Celestial Star lost its life. And that would be the end of their wish.
The Zodiacs didn't deny their King's reminder.
Ten years later, one of the Anima Sidus has found its host, surprisingly Aries has her Star. A year later, Taurus was happily found his Star. Then a month later, Gemini has found one . Another month later, on the same year, Cancer found one, followed by Leo on the next month. Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio has their Stars on the following year. Sagittarius and Capricorn has found there Stars, on the following year. And the last two, Aquarius and Pisces has found their Stars on the first two months, on the following year.
The Zodiacs were very happy that they got another chance. But they became very worried even they haven't meet their Stars. What happened six years ago, they wish it wouldn't happen again.
As time passed by, the Zodiacs started to watch over their Stars. Though it's forbidden to make any communication, no one said they can't watch over them. With Aquarius mirror image, they can watch their Stars anytime they want. From their Galaxy World, down to Earth, in every places on the planet. And everyday, is the joyous moment for them; like watching over their children.
But somehow, they have the feeling that darkness will come again. Destroy everything in the Milky Way, including their Celestial Stars. And no matter what, the Celestial Zodiacs will always be there to protect them.

All of the input olivedreams gave you, I agree. I love stories that involve things like mythology. I am and was into the Percy Jackson series, and so the mythology is something that really catches my eye. Right now, I'm reading a book that has to do with the Chinese zodiac, and I can't wait to see how the rest of your story is. I love it so far, PLEASE keep going.
Hi Olive here to review! I saw the words prologue, fantasy & supernatural in one go. Everything I love!
I’m the opposite to Stella..I love a prologue if they’re done well and serve an important purpose. They don’t work if they’re just shoved in front for the sake of it.
Let’s get to it!
First of all, I like your idea. I think it has a lot of potential & is really interesting. You need to know your world inside out so that anyone can ask you ANY question about it and you can answer it straight away. This takes a lot of planning time & will actually really help you with writing the story. If you know where you’re going with it...then you’re readers will too. I feel like the idea is in the baby stages of development at the moment..
Your second paragraph is a lot a lot a lot better than your first. Its much more refined and you seem to have a much better grasp of what you want. Have a look at your first paragraph and get it to the same standard.
“And the celestial power will be asleep” - this is great. You could play around with this idea in so many ways.
I do agree with Stella about the infodumping. I think you should ‘show’ the darkness invading the milky way rather than ‘tell’ us. Make your prologue exciting and filled with action! It will do a much better job of inviting the reader in to want to read more.
Good Luck and keep going! A piece of writing needs revising so many times before its perfect.
Feel free to ask me anything, anytime.

What do you mean "show" than "tell"? Would you give me an example, of its okay?
Of course! So, you could set up a scene with the Zodiac King watching the black hole come closer or become wider day by day.

Example;
"The King stood vigil each day and night, watching the black void swallow up his kingdom. He was powerless to stop it. A feeling he had never experienced. This dead star had no mercy in it's soul."
I feel it connects your story to the reader more personally but it's up to you of course
Ooohhh! Okay!
I have an idea already, thank you so much
Anytime!
Hey Mew2! Stella here to review!
So I should preface this by saying that I'm not a fan of prologues. I don't think that they're always necessary to a story - in fact, a lot of the time, I think they distract from the story. So I just want you to know that I'm a bit biased towards this as a concept in that I think you'd be better just starting the story blind.
Now, I think you have a really interesting world set up here! I was a bit confused though during it by the descriptions of the galaxy and things - like the fact that a Black Hole 'came' to the Milky Way. Isn't the Milky Way centred around a black hole, isn't that how galaxies are formed? Obviously you're making this a kind of fantasy/sci-fi story so it isn't based on truth, but still it wouldn't hurt to make sure that the science you do have is correct. I'm not hot on astrophysics so I suggest you ask someone who is!
Other than that, I just felt like this story was a big infodump. There was a lot of stuff going on here and I felt like we didn't need to know all of it right now at the beginning of a story. When a story starts, you want action, you want fun, you want interest. You don't want all the background information overloading you at once. I feel like this information would be better dispersed throughout the beginning of the story, rather than given here in one tremendous chunk at the beginning. It's intimidating to a reader, and it doesn't encourage them to read on.
Cool idea though!
Hope I helped, drop me a note if you need anything!
