Hello everyone. This is my PG re-imagining of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I'm going to see how much of a response this gets. If it's positive, I'll make more. Thanks. Please look out for the usual stuff: spelling errors, inconsistencies & contradictions, atmosphere, detail, imagery, etc. Thanks. Just a bit of a warning, there's a little misogyny thrown in, but it's very sparse, and when you get to it, you might understand.
And now,
ANGEL GROVE

I was scared. They must have been scared too. I wondered if I was going to die.
I wondered if they thought they were going to die. Not just my team, but the citizens of Angel Grove. We were sent to protect them, but there's hundreds and sometimes thousands of casualties.
All I felt was my heartbeat, my hands rattling on the controls, and sweat dripping down in beads around my face. It was hot inside my helmet. I could barely breathe. But I'd take barely breathing over decapitation any day. Did you know the kid I replaced took off his helmet, only to lose his head from wayward circuit wires during a fight gone wrong? I remember seeing the footage back at Ranger HQ. Those cords coiled around his head like a snake and soon, we saw his head tearing, ripping apart from his spine. After the head detached, all we saw was a geyser of blood spouting out of his stump, and the Megazord was raining red.
The Rangers almost lost the fight that day. Humanity almost ceased to exist that day.
Lose my head? No, never that for me. There were too many risks involved. But the money was good. We knew we'd get good money, and we knew we'd protect our world from destruction. What we didn't know? That we'd kill just as many people we saved.

I could see the city below me then. The other four could too. It was a bright sunny day out, but it would all turn bloody soon. I saw the mayor chattering on the video billboard a few blocks away from where we stood, just amongst the towers and apartment buildings. Underneath his face in captions read:"EVACUATE ANGEL GROVE NOW!"
I saw dots of humans scattering away from their buildings and into their cars, like ants scurrying away from their hill when they see a human nearby. I often wondered why the Hell they even decided to come back after every attack.
"Scary isn't guys? Can you guys hear me? Kimberly, Trini, Zack, Billy? Are you there guys?"
Well their bodies were. I saw them around me in their special swat suits with the "A.G.R.D(Angel Grover Ranger Department) initials plastered on the back. Their hands were firmly gripped on the controls. Their minds? That was another story. I don't think any of us had a sane mind then.
Who the Hell would?
The red dragon landed in front of us without warning, and Kimberly uttered out a loud "Damn!" He looked like the devil. Truth is, he was just another one of them sent from space. Wherever they came from, they came from space. We tried searching for their home, but to no avail. Whenever we searched the galaxy, we didn't see some alien planet, or a spaceship. All we saw was darkness.
He fluttered his wings, and they crippled a building to ash and rubble. And all I could think of was, God-Damn it all.
We were only ten seconds into that fight, and there was already at least a thousand or so casualties dead from that building alone.
"Ready?" shouted our squad leader Kim, one hand on a keyboard, and the other on a joystick. It was like a freaking video game we were playing, except in real life with real consequences. Whenever Kimberly said ready, you sure as Hell better be ready or she'd have you running a hundred laps around the Gym and then you'd wish you were dead.
At the lunch table in between VR training, Kim was always telling us that in her cocksure Alpha Bitch way, as if she'd never die.
So there I was sitting down at my controls, wondering if I'll ever eat some pizza and screw my girlfriend again. I couldn't stop thinking about the warmth of her hands. She had nice hands, nice lips, nice ass, and an amazing personality.
No doubt she had her hands held in prayer along with my family at Ranger HQ at that time. While I loved my family, I couldn't stop thinking about her. Thinking about sleeping with her. Did it make me a crappy person to think about her instead of my little brother's big smile? Or my Mom and Dad cheering me on at my wrestling finals in High School?
Hey maybe it's just me, but why is it that when we're on the brink of death, all most of us can think about is our next lay? But maybe that's just me. Maybe that was just Billy, Zack and Trini too. All they could think about was their next lay. Hell, the moment after we finished kicking a monster's ass, Zack and Trini were off with a couple of groupies and Billy was driving to the local cathouse.
Kim? Right after a battle, she went right back to training, with only one hour of lunch. When a monster attacks every 48 hours, all you can do is train she said.
I saw the dragon's eyes go pitch black, and he roared.
Goosebumps. God-Damn Goosebumps is all I felt. I think they felt it too. All of them except for Kimberly. That psychotic bitch was laughing, telling the demon she was going to personally send him back to Hell. She was laughing, and I felt tears welling up in my eyes.
Whatever, I thought. No use to cry, no use to bitch. You signed up for this! When a monster is staring you in the eyes and threatening your life, you have to fight! You have to kill!
When you're in there with your friends, your lives on the line...humanity on the line...you have no choice but to fight and kill God-Damn it!
All we had to do was survive. And we were made to survive, we were made to kill.
The Dragon roared, and took flight miles above us. It spread out its wings and blocked out the sun. For a moment the world was in darkness. We raised our cannons, and aimed.
"Remember guys, aim for the head!" shouted Kimberly. We thought the Dragon was going to soar down and charge at us like the other flying creatures. Instead, we saw bright red flames spiraling down towards us. It was like a bright blood-orange beam illuminating a dark room.
We weren't prepared for that. There was a building behind us.
What do you do when you don't know if the Megazord is fireproof or not? Do you let the flames burn you and hope to live? Or do you move out of the way and let hundreds of people who couldn't escape die?
There were only two options. A and B. There was no C.
What do you do?

So, while I have heard of Power Rangers and watched it occasionally, I cannot say I follow the series and I have no idea about what the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" are, or even who they and their antagonists are, so you will have to excuse that. Nevertheless, I shall focus on the things you have specified.
My Legend:
Red - correction
Orange - suggestion
Green - addition
Blue - removal
A very detailed and well-constructed description, although it is rather gruesome. At least you had warned the reader of it in advance, so if anyone finds it disturbing, they cannot blame you.
This is also an interesting change from the usual Power Rangers. There, the characters would sometimes die, but in a way that they could still continue broadcasting the series for children. Here, it is as if reality gave the reader a proper wake-up slap.
You have to remember that when you address someone, be it by their name, rank or title, you must put a comma before and after the form of address.
While a little too vulgar for my taste, this is still a good description. I like the comparison between the leader and the protagonist, as well as with the rest of the team. As for their vices, well, most people have at least one, and it has been proven with statistics that lust is the number one vice among men.
What a way to end a prologue! You know, many would say they don't like prologues because they aren't applied properly, but that certainly isn't the case here. Involving the reader by testing their morality and rationality is an excellent writing device, and a sure-fire way to get them involved.
This really is an excellent piece, and if it were up to me, I'd say yes, continue with the fanfiction. In fact, when you decide to publish chapter one, let me know by either PM or tagging, whichever you prefer.
A prosperous New Year to you!
Holy heck, yes, write more! Really cool spin off of something you wouldn't expect someone to write about.
I think you should probably take out the questions at the end, it's supposed to be about the power rangersmp, not the audience. I think this is a very unique subject, and you use good imagery! Make sure to keep it in the right person (1st, 2nd or 3rd)
Keep up the good work!
