I do quite like this poem. I like the structure alot and the way you have singled out certain lines.
I really love the opening to the poem aswell:
It came like joy-
untethered, sudden.

This was really nice. It flowed beautifully and the lines were well plotted out. I also like the meanings of your poems. And I too reread your poems over and over again but only because I love them so much. It's like when I read your poems I get a great combination of simplicity meets meaning and they both blend so well.
*It came like joy—
untethered, sudden.
An escaped toy
from a nearby garden,*
These were my favorite lines. Again, so simple and yet so meaningful. Great work!

I love reading, and rereading your poetry. It always takes me a few minutes to really pick up the actions, pick up the meanings. But with your poetry I think the meanings are picked up depending on the general interpretation of the poem. It just depends on how you understand it.
I loved how the lines felt so brief, or how some stanzas were just one or two lines, but the whole poem had an elegant length to it.
I really hate how your poetry can be taken in so many different views, for me at least. I'm never sure if I understood it or not. I just hope that I do. Either way, you evoke emotions. So, your poetry succeeds and you fill me with envy. Bravo, Mon Ami.
