Just a quick message.
This is part two and the final part of this story. I would be interested in making more works in this universe, however. Enjoy!
It was Emilia. Emilia killed Clara and is trying to kill Hudson’s mom. His surprise immediately faded into anger.
Hudson tried his best to keep cool, and he acted calm as Parker and Darcy were talking.
”Don’t you think we could just go to the police?” Parker asked.
Darcy snapped, “No, we have to have evidence or else the police will get suspicious.”
”I’m…leaving.” Hudson said dreamily.
“Huh? Dude, what?” Parker asked, but he was already out the door. He stormed across the lawn, into his car, and onto the empty road. For a second, he forgot where he was driving. Parker’s house. It was past midnight, Emilia had to be home. Hudson sped across the nearly deserted open street. Pulling up at Parker’s grand, well-groomed house, he was fuming and gritting his teeth, overcome with anger. He didn’t care about getting arrested. He didn’t care anymore.
Hudson kicked in the spotless window, and stepped into the house. He saw many doors and halls, in the middle a cozy family room. The perfect organisation made him want to scream. He first tried a white wooden door. A bedroom. Another was an empty study. He tried the third, and inside, in an immaculate, well-lit office, he saw her.
Emilia.
She wore a white suit jacket and pencil skirt, a thread of pearls strung round her neck. Her hair hung loose and wavy, the same color as Parker’s. Other than the bags under her eyes, she looked impossibly neat. Hudson frantically grabbed a pair of scissors from off Emilia’s desk. Not the best weapon, but it would have to do.
“Hello, dear, you gave me quite a scare.” She said, a slight accent on her tongue.
”What did you do to my sister?” Hudson asked sternly, holding the scissors up threateningly.
”I did nothing of the sort.”
”Don’t lie. WHAT DID YOU DO TO CLARA?!” Hudson yelled, tears beginning to well in his eyes.
”Well Hudson, you really are much more clever than I thought. More clever than the rest of your little crew.”
She knew. How did she know about them?
”Oh yes Hudson, I see everything.”
“I know what you’re trying to do with my mom. Just for the sake of your campaign. You’re a monster.”
”I may be many things, but a monster is not one of them. I’m simply a good businesswoman.” Her voice was turning darker, not sweet and lovely like Hudson remembered.
“I’m going to call the police, I have my phone.” His voice was beginning to shake.
”Hudson, you were such a smart boy.” She reached into her jacket pocket.
”It’s a shame the world will never know your name.”
Hudson didn’t have any time to run. Emilia held a gun right to his chest, and his body was frozen in fear. A deafening noise rang through the immaculate house, sending Hudson back against the floral wallpaper. Pain radiated from his chest to every part of his body. His white uniform blossomed with red. His breaths were shallow and difficult, and his vision was blurring, like he was underwater.
”Adieu, Hudson.”
He wanted to say something, to curse her family or something, but his mouth refused to open. He didn’t want to die, he was too young, not ready. He hadn’t really accomplished anything. The world was slipping away, but Hudson was fighting for it back. An intense sense of euphoria flooded his body, relaxing him. He tried to take one last breath, but it was too late. He looked up to the ceiling, at the beauty of whatever comes after death.
Chapter 10 Darcy
“I’m getting worried. I figured he was going on a quick stroll or to the bathroom, but he isn't back yet,” said a concerned Darcy.
The last thing she needed right now was another kidnapping or murder mystery. After some thought from both her and Parker, the two simultaneously realized where he was.
“Call the police, Parker. Quick.” The rain drenched the floor and both of the high schoolers, though they continued to run until the West manor came into view. The place was more haunting than it had ever appeared before, and Darcy had an uncertain expression on her face. Could she really do this, or was all her hard work for nothing? Should she have left it to the professionals? Was her persistence the reason her best friend was dead, and Hudson could be in danger? Noticing the look that Darcy had, Parker spoke up.
“No matter what goes down in this house, just know that we’ll make it out of this. I promise you that Clara will be proud of our work and that Hudson and I… really enjoyed working with you. This isn't your fault, Darce.”
While saying this Parker lightly brushed Darcy’s hand, springing a bit of warmth into the cold evening, and the two ventured into the estate.
“Hey, Parker. Can we check the study? Hudson was really interested in it when we came.” The question was more of a command to which Parker obliged. After opening the door to the library the two stopped in horror. There stood Emilia standing over the almost lifeless body of Hudson.
“No no no no NO! I can’t lose another one of you. I refuse to! Stay with me, okay Hudson? We’ll get you out of this safely! Please stay with me.” Darcy sobbed for what felt like hours while holding Hudson until he lost consciousness. “You, you murderer,” Darcy screamed at Emilia who was grinning at the scene that was unfolding before her. “I thought you said we would all get out safely. Is this your definition of safely, Parker?” Parker managed to drag Darcy out of the room away from Emilia and onto the curb where police officers were located. As the officers went inside to look at the crime scene and grab their suspect, Parker and Darcy sat quietly in the light rain.
Unsticking her jaw, Parker asked, “Do you remember the first time we met?” This question seemed strange at a time like this, though Darcy figured that nothing bad could come from humoring Parker.
“I think I do, actually. We were by the water fountain and I heard you call Clara a spoiled brat.”
“Then you got mad and splashed some water on me which led to a water fight and multiple detention hours,” Parker continued.
“It was totally worth it. The face you made after I first splashed you was priceless. Why do you bring it up?”
“Well,” Parker started, “I wanted to remind you of a good time we had together. Back when Hudson and Clara were here. I also wanted to give you hope. Hope that maybe we can get over this crazy situation and have fun together just like the first time we met.”
“I’d like that a lot.”
Parker smiled, staring deeply into Darcy’s eyes. And in the flashing police lights and sirens, teary-eyed and exhausted, Darcy leaned in and kissed Parker. She had been thinking about that for a very long time. Well, a very, very long few days.
At that moment, the only sound was the sound of rain hitting the concrete and leaves rustling as the wind picked them up and dropped them somewhere new. Parker and Darcy were quite similar to those leaves, as life had abruptly taken them and plopped them in a whole new place. Although it felt like they were powerless and had no control, the two knew that they would be okay as long as they held on tight to each other.
Soon after, the police came out of the building with Emilia. As soon as they exited the atrium, Emilia tried kicking the police off of her, leaving them no choice but to tackle her. As Emilia was tackled by the police officers, she pulled a gun out of her pocket and shot Darcy. Her body fell to the floor and she screamed in pain. Emilia smirked in satisfaction, proud of all the chaos she has caused.
Chapter 11 Parker
“Darcy!” Parker shouted at the top of her lungs as she gathered Darcy in her arms.
Darcy groaned in pain as she collapsed, holding her injured shoulder. Parker could hear Emilia shouting in the distance as she was dragged away, but she didn’t even care. All she cared about right now was Darcy.
“Darcy, are you okay?” Such a stupid question but Parker still felt the need to ask. She felt tears forming in her eyes. She really didn’t want to cry, not over Darcy Webster of all people, but with everything that had happened recently she was oddly attached to Darcy. However much she tried to deny it, Darcy meant something to her.
Darcy coughed and tried to speak but Parker stopped her by putting a hand over her mouth.
“Don’t talk, please. Help! Someone get her help!” She shouted to the seemingly thousands of police officers surrounding them. The sirens were deafening and the lights blinding but Parker kept her focus on Darcy. “C’mon, stay with me. I can’t be the only one, please. You’ve gotta make it, Darcy, I love you.”
She was begging, it was pathetic.
“I’m trying…” Darcy croaked, grabbing a weak hold on Parker’s hand.
“Please.”
A medic rushed over to the girls and grabbed Darcy out of Parker’s arms. Parker had to be held back by an officer as they took her away, she screamed for Darcy, begging her to stay alive.
The officer holding Parker put her in the back of his car and handed her a blanket and water bottle.
“Drink this, I’ll take you to see your friend but she’s in pretty critical condition.”
Parker did nothing but silently sob the entire way to the hospital.
Days later Parker still sat next to Darcy in the hospital, waiting for her to wake up. And when she did they hugged and Parker told Darcy everything that had happened.
She explained the scandal and how everything had completely messed up the election. She told Darcy that Emilia had been arrested, along with Clara and Hudson’s mom. Clara and Hudson’s funerals would be held as soon as Darcy was better. Parker’s father had disappeared and was presumed dead, leaving Parker alone.
In the meantime, Parker had enough money saved up to stay in an apartment alone, and move on with her life. As best as she could after the chaos that had ensued in just a few days. She did make a promise to Darcy that they would never lose touch, even though Darcy would go away to college after the funerals.
Nothing in Parker’s life would ever be the same again. She had made a promise to herself in freshman year that she would never mess with the popular kids, but she broke that promise. And while it ended with her alone and people dead, she would do the same thing if she had to again. Because sometimes, the worst experiences lead to the best outcomes.

Howdy! I'm Jazz, here to review your story!
I Like Banana's Because They Have No Bones - First impressions
Hudson was a nice character! He was only there for a little bit but I could get some of his character in just that short amount of time! I liked when they looked back on the good times, when the group was whole and it struck me in my core because I can relate to that.
Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun - Suggestions I have
What kind of accent did she have? I feel that this should be more specific to give the reader a better understanding. She could have a british accent or she could have a scottish or an asian accent.
What other thoughts does Hudson have when he is facing Emilia? It gets a little bare there, and more just dialogue.
I also feel like the scene where Emilia shoots Darcy could be a little more detailed.
The Ravings of John McCullough - Things I loved
I love that your characters have their individual personalities, and they just feel real! I like that I can get the sinister vibe that's coming off of Emilia too. A story is good when it can send a chill down my spine.
They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha-Haaa! - Finale
I think this is interesting! If you write more stories in this universe I'd be glad to read more!
Have a good rest of your day/night!
Thank you for your lovely reply! If there is any info that is unclear, its probably from the first part of this story. This is not meant to be the beginning, but the end. Again, thank you so much. I appreciate you.
Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!
Shalt we commence with the mutated S’more?
Top Graham Cracker - Hudson confronts Emilia, but she shoots him. He dies, and then, Emilia shoots Darcy, who lives, but is seriously injured. Parker is unscathed, but her mind is changed forever.
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - If you wanted to, you could put the Chapters in bold. But only if you wanted to.
Chocolate Bar - I like how Parker is trying to live a good life even after Hudson died and Darcy got injured. It shows that she’s trying her best to get through what happened to her, even with all of the circumstances. I have a feeling this will stay with Parker for a while, though…
Closing Graham Cracker - I enjoyed reading this. It certainly brought many twists and turns. If you ever want to write more about the characters, I’d be willing to read. If not, then this was still fun to read.
I wish you a fantastic day/night! ^v^
