Masquerade
In the fleet of people and places,
I am just a mere spot.
But the veil of darkness
that has been donned on my face
has blossomed into an evil flower.
Everytime when the sun rises,
I walk at the brink of tears,
and ask myself, "why do we exist?"
The people that I had once called 'friends'
now give cold shoulders and become 'strangers'.
Why can't we live in harmony?
The world has turned on me,
and my real face has faded away,
all buried beneath a mask of lies.
With this curse, I have no choice but to live on,
and I shall make sure
that happiness is a must.
I will continue to fight for tomorrow
to fulfill the wishes of mankind.
If I were to die,
My name shall be engraved onto dreams
that echo towards the future.

loving this poem,
it flows quite very naturally,
and the message's really beautiful
the 'just' in line 2 is a bit awkward and disrupts the flow a bit,
'when' in line 6 is a bit redundant too
line 7, 'I walk at the brink of tears' is pretty awkward and doesnt really make sense
'and my real face has faded away,' sounds a bit weird too
'With this curse, I have no choice but to live on,
and I shall make sure
that happiness is a must. '
love this section
-> try 'that my happiness...' ?
'If I were to die,
My name shall be engraved onto dreams
that echo towards the future.'
