This Is My December

Alone in dark and bitter cold

With deep emotion closing in

Thought's of him reappearing

I want to run away

and open up my mind

He's stuck in my head again

There is no escape

'cause I'm my own worst enemy

No more running

No more lies 'nor tears

No more coming back for him

Although my heart burns

I've got to keep trying

And I will keep on fighting
Until my dying day

You will never take me alive

I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive

Never again

Wow, this is really good. I've read a lot of poetry lately and though I'm not an experienced poet (or a poet at all...) this is cryptic yet understandable to the degree that readers can relate to and and yet still wonder about the meaning.

I don't have any criticisms so really good job. Its really touching. I especially like the second last line when you repeat "I'm alive" several times; it really emphasizes the meaning and brings it out so much more than if you just said it once somewhere. So, good job!

Side note, I love the font too :P How did you do it? I also really like your avvie, ha ha, its so cute.
