This is actually the first part of comic book story I am writing. I tried to transfer it from comic script format to story to try and get some outside review on where I could make some improvement
Levant woke to the sound of his alarm clocks ringing, the sun had just risen over the mountains and made the dew off his garden sparkle. He had quite a bit to accomplish this morning before the he had to open the store below. Levant was looking after his aunt's flower shop while she was away traversing the Amazon in search of new and exotic plants to cultivate. Levant himself was studying to become a botanist in hopes of being able to travel around the world and explore deep jungles and high mountains in search of elusive species. It had been three years since he started his studies in Botany and of course he knew that it was only a dream but now he had to tend to the plants in the garden and green house before it became to warm. Levant went about his work as always being particular to detail about the health and growth of his plants. He had filled up notebook upon notebook on the different plants that he tended and sold at the shop.It was half past nine when Levant had finished his work and was able to check his email to find that the antique store which he was a regular customer had sent him a notification that there was an estate sale and they had receive a large shipment of new goods. Not only was he passionate about Botany and wishing to be like his aunt traveling the world, searching for piece of history was another pass time of his. Levant's room was full of little trinkets he had acquired by combing through an endless amount of stores and sales. It was not long till he had to get back to work and open the store for the day. The usual customers arrived at the store early to try and get the decorative cut flowers as fresh as possible. Right before lunch, a group of teenagers entered the store all dressed in black with chains and spikes that adorned there hats, wristbands, and belts.
“Hi, can I help you?” Levant automatically blurted out
“Yah, I'm looking for a white Lilly. Do you have any?” One of the boys in the group asked not even looking at Levant
“Well, white Lillis aren't in season yet. Can I interest in anything else?”
“Whatever, I just wanted to symbolize my soulful death.” The boy said flipping his hair as he turned towards the door
“Well have a nice day” Levant said with a crocodile smile on his face.
Teenagers such as those always annoyed Levant the most, even while he was in high school he could never understand they're melancholy. The rest of the day ended uneventful and Levant was happy to close the store and head over to see the new stock of antiques that had arrived that day. He made his made way to the store to find it was busier than normal on account that the estate sale that was mentioned in the email was one of a wealthy talent agent who had just recently past away. People were bidding on autographed posters and other memorabilia from the 30's and 40's. Levant made his way to the back of the store which was less lively than the front. He searched through the shelves and open boxes for something to catch his eye. It was not until he finished looking through the first set of boxes that he saw what appeared to be a guitar case lying against the wall. It almost seemed to call out to him to touch it like the shining coin at the bottom of a wishing fountain. Musical instrument always fascinated him only due the fact that each one had its own history and life before him. Levant quickly picked it up and put it down in a more open spot in the middle of the floor where he could examine it closer. The case seemed to be a hard case with genuine leather exterior though the leather had seen better days as it was faded, dry and begin to crack. Levant tried to open the case to find that it had been locked.
“Hey, do you have the key to this case?” Levant as one of the employees
“Yes we do, let me get the boss and he'll open it for you” The employee then walked to the front counter and tapped on the shoulder of a large old man who was operate the cash register.
“Levant how are you doing? So you want to open this old thing huh?” The old man asked as he walked over the Levant while fiddling with his ring of keys.
“Doing pretty good Daniel. I want to see whats inside here, I might even buy it if I like what I see.”
“Yeah I don't think so, this piece cost me a pretty penny but I'll let you play it if you like” Daniel said with a chuckle. Daniel opened the lock on the case after a few tries to get the correct key to fit the lock.
“I have to warn you the original owner's assistant told me about this piece. He said me that it sounded like shit no matter who was playing it”
As he undid the other latches on the case and slowly open the case. The guitar inside was something that Levant had never seen before; it was unlike any guitar he had seen on television or in a magazine. It was black almost green as the light shined off it. The body seemed to be craved in the upper portion of some sort of animal skull, the strings were tied to the few fangs the skull had. The neck had an assortment of engravings each were lined with some sort of reflective metal making them easy to see. The head was appeared to be another carving this time it was the bust of a woman who's hair flared out into six different section where the other end of the strings attached.
“Dear lord...what was the person who made this smoking?” Levant asked
“You got me kid, all I know is that it can't play but someone going to think its art and buy it I bet you that” Daniel answered as he got back up and proceed back to the front counter.
Levant picked it up and held it for a few seconds, for how elaborate of a guitar it was surprisingly light. He flipped the guitar around to get a better look at the back and noticed something a little odd. There where engravings on he back of the neck that weren't easily visible in part that the metal lining had been removed. He looked closely at the engravings to see that they weren't like the one's on the front of guitar. These seemed to like they were placed on the back of the neck to tell the person play to strike a certain string in that particular spot. Levant went over the front counter and asked for a piece of paper and pencil. He then copied the back of the neck and flipped the guitar around. Levant had never really played a musical instrument and had difficulty holding the guitar let alone to press down the strings. After a few failed attempts and looking like a utter fool to the people around him Levant found the what he believe was the correct finger position as described by the engravings. He took the quarter that he had been using as a makeshift pick and strummed the guitar. The guitar let out a monstrous scream, one that would be expected to be heard during professional rock concerts with they multiple amplifiers and stage equipment. He could only stand in complete shock as the entire store stared at him. He had cause the entire store to go silent; Daniel walked back to Levant with utter disbelief on his face.
“Kid how in god's name did you do that?!” Daniel yelled
“I don't know I just played these strings together and it made that noise” Levant replied lifting his fingers on the fret board and releasing the strings. Just as he was about to set the guitar down the neck split right down the middle, and the entire body shattered into pieces. The guitar became a pile of scrap wood at Levant's feet. Daniel just stopped dead mid stride and smacked his forehead.
“You busted it too!” Daniel said now in shock
“I'm sorry I didn't mean to, it just kinda happened” Levant tried to explain
“Well you know store policy you break it you buy kid. Let me go check my book and see what price I bought it at exactly.” Daniel walked over to his desk.
Levant now began to panic about the price of the guitar. He wasn't rich most the money he got was from working at the shop even though he lived above the shop he still had to pay for food and other things too.
“Alright kid that guitar cost me 1,350 dollars” Daniel returned with a receipt in hand.
“1,350?! I don't have the money on me right now” Levant said as he wiped the sweat off his brow.
“well we'll work out an payment plan for now, so I'll give you a call tomorrow about it. Just head home I don't need you breaking anything else today”
Levant took his leave and headed back home his head heavy with the thought that he was now 13 hundred dollars in debt. It was going to take him months to pay off the store and that is if he only buys the bare essentials. He finally got back to the shop to find the teenagers from earlier that day sitting on the curb smoking cigarettes. Levant just sighed as he walked up the door and got out his keys to unlock the door.
“Hey! Flower boy” a voice said behind him.
Levant turned around to see that the group of teens were staring at him cigarettes still in their mouths. The boy from earlier seemed to be the one that had got Levant attention
“Yes, what do you need” Levant answered slightly annoyed
“I hate your shop”
“Then why are here?” Levant asked with a tired tone
“I don't have to explain myself to you” The boy spat
Levant rolled his eyes and went inside and up to his room where he fell on to his bed. The day had started out so pleasant and it had to end so horrible. Breaking a expensive guitar then being opening mocked by depressed little teenagers. He had just closed his eyes when he hear what seemed to be howling wind. Levant lifted his head to see if there his window was open but it was shut and locked. He looked around his room and saw nothing out of the norm. He decide to get up and make dinner and shower before he fell asleep. As he sat up his light began to flicker and the howling he heard before had returned. The light flicker on and off, Levant eyes shifted to the front as he saw movement. Closer and closer the figure crept only appearing when the light was off. Levant was paralyzed he didn't know what to do before he realized the light was now off and the figure was standing only a foot or two in front on him. It was tall; its head reached the ceiling. It lifted its hand and seem to crouch to touch Levant's chin, its fingers were cold to the touch yet soft. Now Levant could only think it was death itself and it was ready to harvest his soul. All of the sudden Levant felt light head and fell back on his bed as everything went black.

Great, I can't wait
And thank you for the formatting: A much easier read!
Tanya
Thank you Tanya for you advice. I did reformat the post in hopes of making in easier on the eyes to read and I will try to improve on my use pronouns. I do realize that my grammar is pretty bad, it is actually the one thing in English I fail at and I am glad you looked over and found where my I could use improvements.
Some of the parts of this piece are a little hard were a little difficult to translate to text because a lot of the actions and expressions are powered by the drawings, so if they seemed a little off that might be the reason why though I can always go back and rework it. I also don't do the drawings myself I am partnered up with a friend of mine who is and excellent artist so we split the creative work between the two of us. When the next section is done I will pm you about it being upload so you can take a look at it again.
Hey there Krzyh and welcome to YWS,

I would add this with the part when he says that he's also a botanist because this thought is rather random amidst the rest.I'm Tanya, your reviewer for today
First of all, I wanted to mention how good I thought this chapter was. And I'm impressed. Comic books? Do you do your own drawings? There's a section here in Arts & Photograph where you could post your drawings and get the reviewers opinions. I'm useless at those reviews, but I'd be interested to see what you can draw up.
That being said, on to the review!
First things first, you've probably noticed that the transfer from Word (or whatever program) to here doesn't format well. It would be really appreciated if you could make paragraphs before posting which would help the reading process
I don't know much about writing comic books so I'm basing this review like if it was a book. It would be nice to feel his thoughts and here would be a good opportunity for that; maybe you could mention that he envies his aunt's expedition or something. That would give us an idea of how he thinks/what he feels.
I've noticed several times during the chapter that you forgot to end the sentence with a period. I won't go through every sentence to point them out, but maybe you could reread it and they'll pop out rather quickly.
I would like for you to mention why the guitar case caught his eye. At first, I thought it was because he actually played this instrument, but turns out he can't. So, what was the appeal? Was he compelled to go to it, pick it up? Did he feel an irresistible urge to touch it? It would go a thing thing to mention
I'm actually not too terrific with punctuation, but a few times I noticed these tiny eyesores. There should be a comma after good. Also, the second sentence should be divided with commas, although I'm not too sure how. Only, it was a difficult read, for me.
Same here for the punctuation.
Well, that's basically it for nitpicks. Another thing that slightly bothered me was the use of the main character's name. I've never seen it before and it really stood out for me. My eyes would get hooked on it and you used it quite often. I would suggest replacing his name by 'he' more often. You can do this quite easily because there aren't many people in this piece.
I really liked the interaction with the teenagers, that was nicely done. I liked the tone and the flow of the story, as well as your style. This piece has plenty of potential and I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter. WOuld you PM me when you post it?
Thanks for inviting me in your world and let me know if you have any questions or need help!
Tanya
