This is a good poem! I would just strongly consider adding some punctuation to make your piece more organized! Other then that, you had a very nice rhyme scheme going on! Keep it up!
Sadly i too must reitterate what these other distinguished individuals have written. I find the first two stanzas of this poem to be very good.
I also that feel that, whilst the last to stanzas are not bad, they would be much better if they had the same kind of impact as the original two.
However these minor criticisms not withstanding i think this is a very well thought out peice of poetry.
Bon chance on your future writings.
I hate to reiterate the same point but the first two stanza's are gold. While the second two lack the same potency as the others their meanings complete the poem, absolutely. I just feel they need to be reworded to fit the structure the first ones set.
In other words, you're poem is freaking awesome.
I love this, especially the last stanza. The way it doesn't rhyme really works with the words themselves to create a feeling of melancholy.
It is a bit startling that there is only one bit of punctuation. The colon works really well where you have it, but you need more. May I give you my suggestions for punctuation?
Then again, I understand if you would like to keep it somewhat more sparse than I suggested.
Anyway, great job. A universal concept beautifully expressed.
Cheers!

I agree with karibbean, the title doesn't seem to fit your poem. The first stanza, with "the distance:a mile" (I don't really know how to quote yet...) was really good. The second stanza was nice too, the simplicity of the first stanzas are, to me, done really well. Your words were clearly chosen with care and I think that shows. The third stanza seems kind of weak to me, I mean I understand what you're trying to accomplish, but maybe two stanzas could do it better. The final stanza had less flow then the others, though I think you did that on purpose, to put emphasis on the lost moment in which case 'kudos!' it was nicely done. Anyway, hope everything turns out well.

hi,hi,
I am Karibbean diva, i had liked your poen it was short and sweet.
I have found a couple of issues with your poem, well i like to call them the BUT's in writting work.
1. Punctuation
Your Poem is not punctuation! "I do not know why"
Incase you are not sure what Punctuation is... this quote will aid you.
2. Your subject.
I personally think that your subject did not help bring life to your poem.
I would use that to talk about someone who had a heart attack or someone in the hospital or something. (but thats just my opinion)
If I were to choose a subject I would have chose something like .
Reason why I would have choosen that as the subject is :
1. Its interested and it creates suspence.
2. When i read this poem, the picture that came to my mind were a girl/guy from two different social group that likes each other but because of there diffrence the boy was scared and he blew his chances of being with the girl. (as i said this is only my perspectives)
I enjoyed reading and commenting on your poem, it was fantastic and you should keep on writting and sharing your work
