What’s a kiss worth these days?
Nothing—spare change and lint.
We’re throwing it away like worthless coins,
Tossing it to the poor and needy—
The needy, nameless lips in a bar,
Body language just asking for it.
What’s a kiss worth these days?
Cheap beer and cheap perfume,
Bottles that break once the night is over.
What’s my kiss worth to you?
Nothing—spare change and lint,
Just another coin you’ll be handing over;
Paying over the counter, buying drinks
Or buying kisses—
What’s the difference these days?
Spare change and lint. Your lips,
They taste of everyone else.

Wow. How extraordinary. It's a beautiful and intense piece. Awesome.
Wow....that should be in a book somewhere!! I can't find anything to nitpick! Very intense despite it's length. It really does make you think about how worthless a kiss has become and it's said. Very great job! And good job with the format.
I really like this poem. It is very truthful and I just love the images it paints in my head. I don't think this comment is very useful but that poem is very imaginative, keep writing. My favourite line:
Very intense. It's a vivid poem, written very well, with a concrete structure and purpose and also brilliant imagery. It is really exquisite! It's also an eye-opener to the real world and make you really think about just how important such a little action used to be, and how it is now tainted and false...
Very good! I couldn't find anything wrong with it!
