Let us set our hearts a-flutter,
weave a tale of candid lovers;
star-crossed, starlit, little stars,
rehearsing our pretend parts.
Let us play with one another,
teach our souls to sweetly suffer;
coax a love to swiftly grow
then bury it in icy snow.
Let us fool with one another,
tempt a love that lasts forever;
pluck a heart and make it ache,
and by departing, make it break.
---
And do not think my kiss is true,
or that my tears are shed for you;
for we but fooled with one another.
(And taught my soul to sweetly suffer.)

I set out to review one of your poems in return for reviewing mine...
I can't reall critique this though, its simply awing.
Good job.
I really can't 'critique' this. I simply love it. I love it's movement, it's reiteration, a subtle, powerful touch to each stanza. I adore it greatly. I also love how the title explains it, but is not mentioned in the poem itself. Makes the reader think
Wow. Your rhyming and rhythm is simply spectacular. I can't say how pleasing this is to the ear if read aloud, it lends itself to music. Be careful though, your rhyming is the main attraction, watch out with breaking or bending your scheme its very noticeable.
ex.
Let us play with one another,
teach our souls to sweetly suffer;
(this was okay and still kept sufficient rhythm to make up for the cross-rhyme)
Let us fool with one another,
tempt a love that lasts forever;
(bit of a speed bump)
for we but fooled with one another.
(And taught my soul to sweetly suffer.)
(this is were you lose the integrity of your rhythm with the cross-rhyme, which you need to be careful of especially in the last line of your poem. You need to end with an exceptionally clear note as you started it.)
All and all, a beautiful poem I love this, its one of the best I've seen.

nice poem
I like this poem. I think that you have a good rhyme scheme and precise word choice.
This is the only line that I would change this line because it's repetitive use of the word star.
Keep writing because you are good at it.
