Wow, this is weird.
Like, really, seriously, weird.
I am writing in a journal. Go ahead and laugh if you want, you inanimate book you, but this is seriously strange for me. And yes, I am well aware of the fact that you can not actually laugh. But this is a new thing for me, spilling my guts rather than keeping all my thoughts to myself, so forgive me if I pretend that you are a real thing that can actually respond to me. It makes things just a little less awkward.
Looking back on all the moments of my life until now, I honestly do not understand how I made it this far, as sane as I am. And as you get to know me better, maybe you will understand why I say that. I know it does not make any kind of sense right now, but I promise you that it will eventually.
Eventually.
This is really weird for me. Yes, I know that I said that already, but I feel that it is worth repeating. I am not used to writing in a journal, and it is just a little....ugh.
And I know, given my extremely spastic nature, that I will more than likely ramble on about one thing before abruptly changing to the next with absolutely no warning whatsoever. As a person with ADHD, it’s in my nature to do so, and I simply can’t help it, so I apologize in advance.
Since this is a new journal and a new chapter of my life, I think that you, book, should know a few things about me. If anyone ever reads these pages, I want to be more than a faceless voice.
1) My name is Skylar Chambers
2) I’m seventeen years old
3) I have a job
4) I go to college
5) I have a boyfriend (sort of, kind of, maybe, I do not know?”
6) I have amazing friends
And, most importantly, number 7:
I really hate my life.
Now, journal, what do you think about that?

It's strange there is not much written, but I am hooked. There is something about the writing style that is simplistic and witty, yet captivating and beautiful at the end of the time.

I really like this section. It is always strange when the author directly addresses the audience, but this really works. I like how it reveals more about the author and the type of person.
I can't wait to read more because it seems really interesting.
You seemed to keep repeating "This is awkward" a lot more than just a couple times. I really have no idea what the genre is going to be about nothing except that they lead a normal life which you made sound like they didn't. I'm already intrigued and can't wait to learn more. You really can keep a reader on the edge of their seat. I really lik how writing in this journal seemed so foreign to Skylar. It added interest and questions, have they never shared their feelings on paper ever? Not even as a child? Overall very good i can't wait to read whats next.
